  • Excellent job! I like the addition of the other instruments in the piano sections. You sing almost as well as Daltrey and I get that you lowered the octaves so not to scream or strain your voice. Great piano cover

  • You stop dancing

  • I just about fell down, it was so good. Your vocals cover is to a large extent quite reminiscent of Daltrey's --- well above "average" vocal performance IMO. Keep doing more and thanks for putting this up. I am Favorite-ing it now.

  • Excellent!

  • great love it

  • yeah!

  • your voice wasnt bad man, not bad at all...

  • sorry, this rocked...one note to a previous poster though: Pete Townshend wrote that song (for Roger)

  • thats very good, do you drowned?

  • piano part was flawless but the singing was kinda average but thats not your fault is because it was written for roger who has a very strong powerful voice

  • I hope you end up with a similar fate as Scot Halpin.

    Amazing man. You rock.

  • V for Vendetta

  • Talent & Quality Entertainment 5*

  • You are amazing!

    Play some song from Tommy

  • He did 1921.

  • U rockzz!

  • holy crap man amazing job. seriously 5/5

  • BRILLIANT!

  • This song, when looked to as a whole, is so simple. But none the less manages to still be an amazing song that just captures so much emotion. Brilliant Cover of a Brilliant song. Amazing

  • i totally commented on this 8 months ago. you totally didn't respond. thanks asshole.

lol just kiddin man. this is a really great cover, i said it before and i'll say it again. the first 35 seconds or so is some of the most brilliant music in the world. i love those little crescendos. just when you think it's not about to change it like completely goes down a key haha. it's amazing.

  • oh.. sorry about not commenting. I had to turn off email notifications because i was getting swamped due to the Baba O'Riley video... This is the first time i've been back here to read the comments in months. Thanks for sticking with me. Talk to ya later, man.

  • amazing cover! good job :-)

  • Rabbit Bundrick- look out.

  • "you realize that all along...", of course you had to drop, anyway your videos are very good and you have a lot of talent.I also like much more this camera angle that others you use in different videos.Take care.

  • HAH!

Damn, I wanted to cover this song - looks like I don't have to now.

    Brilliant job, man!

  • oh my word

    you give me chills

    PLEASE

stop making all of the piano players in the world look like poo

seriously this is ridiculous! oh man! very talented. The singing is a little bit soft and high for this song, but it's physically impossible to be Roger Daltrey, so I honestly don't blame you. but it doesn't even matter because playing like that is one thing, but singing along with it? that's pure talent. You should seriously play for someone or something. You could be a rock n roll star!

  • i think every house in the country should have a copy of quadrophenia.the who rock and you rock on that piano...

  • i like your little voice rasp on Queers, this is rly well done though, bravo

  • oh, I'm really sorry, I didn't mean it as a complain. I like your videos a lot!

    you're definitly a great player!!!

It's just my bad humor ;)

  • No need to apologize. I know how it feels to have your humor be taken the wrong way. Its just the keeping my piano tuned is a constant struggle for me and I guess your comment hit a nerve. It's all good though. I checked out your channel and watched "Todd Rundgren - Hello It's Me" vid in your log. I've loved that song ever since I watched Paul Giamatti sing it in the movie "Duets". Good stuff!

  • i say that ;)

  • Well, I have to say that this is one of the better tuned videos. My piano is in a constant "needs to be tuned" state. You should watch my "The Way it Is" cover. Its much worse. As a matter of fact, I often leave the tuning hammer resting on one of the bolts because the need to tune the thing is so frequent. So when you just say "oh boy, you have to tune your piano :D" it seems like you are just looking for something to complain about rather than giving a sincere critique. Forgive me if I'm wrong

  • oh boy, you have to tune your piano :D

  • says who?

  • That was cool. The Who rock! ^_^

  • Thank you. Yes they do.

  • Well done!

Piano is wonderfully done and your singing isnt bad either!

    Lovely song it tis.

    Gots to love the who!

  • Thanks, glad you appreciate this not so well-known song. Catch you later.

  • oooh, i wish i could play piano like that

in fact, i just wish i could play the piano, and then get that good

that was great! i love that song!

  • Thank you very much. I'm glad you like this song. Its not so well known. See ya.

  • Wow that sounds amazing, great job!

  • Thanks a lot. glad you liked it.

  • this is great i love the you play the piano

  • Thank you. I really enjoy playing. glad you liked the vid.

  • Very Very good young man. I have witnessed 52 yr's and was quite enamored by Mr Townsend and his mates. The fact that you would include this very particular piece in your portfolio is quiet profound testament to totall dedication,And impressive insight. BRAVO WELL DONE !!!

  • I'm pretty happy with my singing on this one. I was hovering right around the peek of my upper register. I'm fine with a couple voice cracks here and there as long as I know I'm not holding back. Also, I would rather have the voice cracks than drop the key to better fit my range. I play everything in the original key. You may have noticed I dropped an octave on the "you realize that along" lyric. That was a must as it was way out of my range. Thanks for commenting. hope to hear back from you.

  • "Love Reign O'er Me" is a GREAT suggestion! I'm disappointed that I didn't think of that one myself. Stew, I know you aren't all that fond of Elton's version of "Pinball Wizard," but my money says that you could do a PHENOMENAL version of this song. Would you PLEASE consider doing that one as well? BTW, the piano work here is FABULOUS again, but would I be remiss to suggest that your voice cracks just a bit on this one too?

You know I LOVE your work overall! :)

    KLR

  • I would love to do Pinball Wizard. It will be done. :P As for the voice cracks on this one, you will continue to hear my voice cracking in the future as I refuse to lower the keys of these songs. :P I'm aware of it... didn't say I liked it, but I do recognize my flawed voice. I'm greatful for your honesty. You can be honest without being rude. I really respect that. I hope to hear from you again. See ya.

  • Hey by any chance could you perform Love, Reign O'er Me with this camera angle

  • I love that song. I started working on it last night. Its coming along very smoothly. I should be able to put it up in a week or so. I'm still in the final stages of "Bargain" and "The Song Is Over" so we'll see how it goes.

  • No offense, but you sounds like Shaggy from Scooby-doo

  • Well... lucky for you, Shaggy is my alter ego or I would be offended. Thanks for watching.

  • Wow, that's really good! nice job =D

  • Thanks a lot. Glad you liked it.

  • Nice stuff man.

  • Thank you.

  • Brilliant as usual.

  • Thank you much.

  • GOOD JOB WITH THE LYRICS!!! Also, I enjoyed your substitution for the acoustic guitar. Thanks for the vid. POST SOMETHING FROM 'SELL OUT'!!!!!

  • Oh My... You're pretty demanding. All caps and exclamation points. Sell Out... hmmmm. How about Heinz Baked Beans? lol. I'm just joking, but seriously, how about Heinz Baked Beans? Thanks for watching.

  • 'Heinz Baked Beans' would be awesome! 'I Can't Reach You' was the first song Pete ever learned on the piano. However, I guess your abilility far exceeds 'I Can't Reach You'. Every song on the album is excellent. You must have a favorite. I'm assuming you don't prefer early 'Who' as much?

    LONG LIVE THE WHO

  • You're absolutely right. I don't prefer old old Who. For the most part, my albums of choice are Tommy, Quadrophenia, Who's Next, ...By Numbers, and Who Are You. However, I do like some older ones. My favs from Sell Out are "Armenia City in The Sky" and "Tattoo." I'm not necessarily concerned with showing off my abilities. I don't mind doing the easy songs, too. Thanks for your comments, man. See ya.

  • Have you ever though about doing all of 'Tommy', or all of 'Quadrophenia'?

It's just a question, don't take it too seriously!!!

  • Superb!

  • Awesome Stew !!....I like how you dropped down an octave at ' You realize !that all along...' smart move !..oh and the second verse...you play that strumming acoustic guitar part using those piano arpeggios ?...I think?..awesome !..anyway...excellent job STEW !!cheers man !!*****

  • Hey buddy ol' pal. Yeah, dropping that octave was a must for my shredded vocal chords. I was cracking bad enough as it was. Yeah, its difficult to simulate strumming on a piano if the strumming as fast. You guitarists can go up and down. I can only go down. :P Thanks for the comment, Eddie. See ya.

  • cool I'm the first to watch it. Thats first for me. Anyway love the video.

  • Thanks for watching.

  • THANK YOU for sharing the fruits of yr labours w/ us!
