  • Great stuff. If you like this, check out Old Blind Dogs. You'll love 'em.

  • I agree that a five (10) string instrument is normally called a cittern. The Irish bouzouki has four (8) strings. Nicely played, by the way, and great voice.

  • I love this!

  • i love this soo chilled out and also because my name is also AARON JONES hahaha

  • all you'll find are versions folk and trad are built around your own version or expression of a song or tune. make it your own. if someone wants to hear AJs version they'll listen to it.

  • you can find the lyrics on the internet under the song title billy taylor

  • I would love to get the lyrics as well. Despite AJ's masterful singing, there's a lot I can't understand.

  • Can someone link me the lyrics? I have found versions but none quite match,

  • Yep, a 10 string Sobell Cittern....

  • omfg my name is william taylor and my mum likes folk

  • @willsgotbeer well, have you joined the Irish navy yet while you actually had to marry a lady but instead married someone else? If you have, I'd look out for a girl dressed in male clothes carrying a sword and a pistol...

  • That's a Cittern not bouzouki I think and possibly a Sobell

  • Very nice. Well done. It sounds very much like the song Johnny Todd on Kevin Burke and Ged Foley's recent album In Tandem. Another sailor, Johnny Todd goes off to sea, much to his bride's dismay and it has a happy ending. Same melody, but nobody gets shot.

  • Did you manage to record the two tunes they mentioned at the end of that clip? If you did, please post them.

  • First Time to see and listen to these two musicians, very fine bouzuki player indeed, and lovely fiddle accompanyment

  • Always good fun to meet Aaron. He is a fantastic singer and bouzouki player and also a great teacher for bouzouki! I was on two of his workshops and it was very helpful for me!

  • AS a new Fiddler I just love this, want to learn it! My husband loves this as a Zouk player. Perhaps we will be able to share with others!

  • absolutely wonderful. favorited.

  • Amazing! Awesome voice and beautiful instrumentation

  • Fantastic! I hope to be able to see Aaron and Claire play together one of these days! :)

  • Wonderful performance. Great voice...I need to learn this song!
