  • I was actually at this show. It's good to look back on this. I miss Death and I miss The Asylum.

  • Wow, never knew that Death performed as a trio at some point in their history.

  • Chuck :[ Rest In Peace...

    Nice upload SeanSitka!

  • I love this album. I can listen to Spiritual Healing and Leprosy for days.

    \m/

  • Bill Andrews - best drummer in Death

  • @1qiq not even close

  • @1qiq The best? Not even Sean Reinert, Gene Hoglan, and Richard Christy easily take that title away from him. But I will agree that his style is awesome and he is my preferred drummer for Death.

  • @1qiq LMAO

  • Thank god Death have always had two guitarists (except right here). I love Death and Chuck, but they're MUCH better with two.

  • 2:35 is so fucking true

  • cool, you have the whole concert?

  • yes, I have the whole concert, plus shows I've never posted.

  • what I would do to see "altering the future" or anything else off of spiritual healing for that matter in this "3-piece" lineup.

  • This video is great, the sound quality might not be perfect, but it's very good....plus, we get to see Chuck when he was like 23!...

  • Favorited this a long time ago- Thanks for keeping it up for viewing. Just looked up a favorited Slayer clip and it's no longer available.... Chuck is still available. Guess Chuck can't cash in. That's why no one pulled the plug. Download your fucking memories. Period. Once someone realizes that they're of worth... Bye-Bye possibilities----..----- Saw these dudes in 1990. Wish I'd paid more attention at the show. Can't replace what you've posted. Some say she's nieve@@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Chuck totally nails the james murphy solo. Love that solo.

  • chuck doesn't play james murphy's solo here....he just plays the backing solo riff that would be played behind murphy's, and then he plays his solo.

  • and then he plays his *own* solo, i mean.

  • Chuck did not fire James Murphy, he always had a reputation of being a diffrent guy, so he took off during tour. Fucked that he was diagnosed with a brain tumor, like Chuck around the same time. Only he lived. I met Murphy in 90, and he acted like a total douche! met him in 09, and he acted like an awesome dude! brain cancer can seriously fuck your mind up, though... So I don't mean it.... Oh, and I think I see Jeff Walker near the end of the video.

  • you see Jeff Walker cause Carcass was supporting Death on this tour.

  • Holy shit

  • Chuck is a god. And playing a song that usually has a second guitarist, to be able to play the song, and essentially elements from both guitars is amazing. Really makes me want to learn both lead AND rhythm parts for every song to incorporate both elements if someone bails!

  • fuck yeh

  • GReat video and view. Cool to see them just play without a second guitarplayer, and not cancel a tour like all those posers these days.

  • what an awesome view

  • omg i am so unlucky..i am 15 years old...never had the chance to see them live...:(( RIP CHUCK

  • I've got the same problem

    RIP CHUCK SCHULDINER

a god yesterday, today and tomorrow

    we'll never forget u

  • same as u , man that would have bee the best to see him

  • awesome, please post more death stuff :)

  • sean why did james murphy leave?

  • I don't remember the details, I did talk to him about at month ago when I was driving BTBAM, I'll ask him when I see him next time.

    Sean

  • This is my favourite Death song.

  • Where is james Murphy? :o

  • This was the tour they did after Murphy was out the band, this was the first show after they fired Albert Gonzales (ex-Evil Dead) the night before in Tijuana, Mexico.

  • Hey Sean can you post the rest of the videos from this show? in case you have them... thanks :)

  • I will sometime later this year. I have more stuff to post, it takes time and I've been touring alot lately. Just keep posted.

  • DEATH playing without James Murphy! the amazing Chuck Schuldiner ;) 1 guitar and sounds great!!!

  • great sound!

  • Where is the second guitarist?!! (james murphy)

  • This was the tour they did after Murphy was out the band, this was the first show after they fired Albert Gonzales (ex-Evil Dead) the night before in Tijuana, Mexico.

  • Thanks for posting this SeanSitka... Death lives in the hearts of fans like you...

  • Damn awesome clip! Thanks man!

  • it sounds pretty good with one guitar, the bass is more distinct.

  • this is probably right after Chuck fired James and they had to do shows without a second guitarist for a little while

  • This is some great stuff. Any chance that you own this boot on VHS or DVD? I'll pay for a copy!!!

I didn't know they toured as a three piece at any point in their history (aside form Scream Bloody Gore).

  • Sean "Sicko" Sitka is the best.

  • thanks for this

  • Now this is some rare footage, thank you friend.
