2:45th sec of the song, I suggest you put loud minimal drum beats, scat to snare, minimal base. And maybe a few and short snare rolls, within that dirty guitar area(distorted area).

But if your intension is to make it a guitar driven part, it's your choice. The risk is, sometimes it gets boring.(Be careful in putting too much interludes. yeah. over all, nice.)

Yea, I gotta say it sounded pretty good but you gotta work a little more on Vocals so it comes out louder -- and the Drummer needs to keep pace of the tempo to maintain everyone else on the same page. Especially on the fast rocking part (solo) .. he needs to get in there and make some noise. =)

Hi there. You wrote for a critique of this song so

(1) I would cut out the first 3 progressions of the solo gtr. Then each time through add one instrument to keep it interesting.

(2) vocals up in the mix: we can't hear what you are singing.

(3) guitars. Play at different positions n the neck to give a richer sound

(4) when the other instruments double time near the end, the drummer has to rock out IMMEDIATELY

(5) Keep the tempo solid. No groove = no good.

It the vocal supposed to be in monotone? if it is then Great mix and good timing. Intro a little long for ppl that do not know your style. Those Effects work for your music other wise the vocal person is tone deaf as a fence post.

Hehe funny that u noticed, the start of the song was the first riff alone, then the vocalist wrote the song text, and practised singing to the riff only.

And then we played together and we also noticed, and we decided that i can stay in monotone.

This was our first band practise together so will will figure it out somehow.

Yas and iam 65 with blusgrs/westSwing background. the haunting depth is a good gimmick.stick to it and the riff sounds like it will base 4 a nice tune. keep the mono chat and try some standards with it. listen to some of the OO0Ldies [bob-wills].take out the fiddle solos and listen to the singers. they did mono for a lot of Classic COYBOY tunes [clear blue waters] 4 pt harmony back,but mono tone for the primary.
