  • THE EP IS SEASON 5 EP 5

  • look at the mirror to see better

  • dam after seeing this i was shiting bricks like good old bender ps check out the ep when he sold his body

  • i used a miror to watch this

  • @halo97855 that is kind of unnecessary.

  • To people wondering why it's backwards/vertically flipped: Every youtube video is checked whilst uploading and automatically removed if it contains copyright. This system is called Content ID. Flipped videos bypass this filter so if/when this video is removed you'll know it'll be removed by a human working for the copyright protectors.

  • why bender grow up ?

    He his a robot !!!!!

  • @ricoboss97 don't question it

  • @ricoboss97 updates

  • 1337 Likes. Just like the Episode. Futurama y u not on regularly? I need my fix.

  • Love this song!

  • I love how Bender spins on himself as he's going down the conveyor belt :)

  • i missed this episode, i don't understand whats going on can someone explain it to me?

  • @freesnake11 *SPOILERS, OBVIOUSLY* After bragging about how he's immortal, Bender discovers he has a fatal defect. This means when he's dead, he's dead. So he goes on a wacky adventure with Hermes to track down the inspector that approved him so he could kick his ass, Bender and Hermes becoming friends on the way. At the very end, it's revealed that Hermes was Inspector 5 the whole time. Beautiful episode, catch it sometime.

  • @Garoopy thanks dude!!!

  • Nothing beats the final moments of the 'Jurassic Bark' episode with Connie Francis's song 'If It Takes Forever', it's played over the 'unknown back story explanation' to Fry's dog becoming fossilized, utterly heart-wrenching, guaranteed.

  • @Veldtian1 the song is I will wait for you, but non the less it is an amazing song. i cried

  • Best Futurama clip ever!

  • the dislike bar is the size of biebers penis!

  • @Zapped42 so is this is true but it isn't how do you know it? and i bet it is your penis size

  • @meneerikownje fuck off must mean you like him!!

  • Am I the only one who didn't see it coming? The fact that Hermes was inspector # 5?

  • @ilikepie442 I'm pretty sure no one saw that coming

  • @ilikepie442 I thought it was gunna be the Professor

  • Futurama is one of my favorite shows-- it proudly shows it's opinion on touchy subjects (transsexuality, homosexuality, etc) but still keeps a lighthearted feel to it. Not to mention, the episodes "Sting", "Jurassic Bark" and "Fatal Inspection" are the only cartoon shows that have ever made me bawl like a little b-tch.

  • sucks its mirrored, but i understand why

  • awww baby bender look cute

  • @thepricelesswwechamp SO CUTE!!

  • Comment removed

  • bender is so cute

  • No... I'm not crying *looks away*

  • whys every video are mirrored

  • @WertoDBZ copyright

  • Baby bender <3

  • Am I one of the only people who noticed the continuity error here? In this episode it's established that Bender was built as a baby but in the earlier episode "Bendless Love" Bender tells everyone that he was built as an adult i.e. the size he always has been.

  • @Komicklepto lol i mean each episode is its own continuity

  • what pisses me off about most animated comedies is that the only thing they care about is the comedy, what I've always loved about futurama is that its not like south park, family guy and the simpsons. futurama actually has a lot of heart and they care more about it being touching than funny and this show has made me cry more than once, futurama is (in my opinion) the greatest animated show in television history

  • @classicnickluvr South Park isn't about being funny. It's satire, which makes it about pointing out the flaws in our own society in order to promote change.

  • @classicnickluvr The Simpsons's focus on character relationships and sometimes emotional plot lines, mostly centered around family, is a great influence on the touching episodes of Futurama. How can you say The Simpsons is strictly comedy with no underlying tones? That's simply not true. I agree 100% that Family Guy is that way...and South Park...well, SP is supposed to be satire that serves as a social commentary. It's not really the goal of that show to be sad or emotional.

  • Theres afew of the new episodes which are outstanding in the story telling department, like this on. Im really happy with the new series, even the not so good episodes are forgivable because of all the better quality ones, best animated show on Tv.

  • i dont know about you guys but apart from this scene and hermes' manwich nothwithstanding, Bender and Hermes seem to get on really well.

  • Futurama is the best cartoon on TV. Scenes like this lift it beyond mere comedy. It is just so damn touching. Really beautiful moments.

  • im sad now

  • awww wittle baby bender was soooooooooooooo cute

  • wow then like years later it must of been a huge coincident that hermes ended up working with bender

  • Press 5 for cute sound. <3

  • I hold a mirror to this so i can see it proper.. :D

  • There isn't that many programs that can make you laugh and cry at the same time but this is one. How this got cancelled and The Simpsons carried on in it's current form I'll never know....

  • Awww baby benders so cuyte!!!

  • I WANT A BABY BENDER :D

  • This is one of the beautiful scenes in Futurama. The ending of this episode made me cry because of it.The other episodes that made me cry were "Luck of the Fryish" and "Jurassic Bark".

  • @phousefilms omg those touch the heart so much----and also (i dont know the name) the one where Leela gets stung by that space bee

    such beautiful moments :)

  • I LOVE BENDER ... =(

  • what episode is this from

  • @Cardbattler Its from the episode "Lethal Inspection" in season 6,I believe.

  • Awesome episode

  • Futurama has more depth and range than most real shows. It's why I make sure to catch at every opportunity.

  • I love this episode!

  • Inspector #5 :D

  • OHH MY GOSH!!! BENDER AS BABY OHHH MY GOSH!!! SO CUTE *___* I LOVE BENDER!!!

  • I don't know the context so why do people cry about this.

  • @EdwardElric555 Basically Hermes approved Bender but Bender was built without a backup unit so if he got a bad virus perhaps he would end up dead and throughout the episode Benders mad at whoever #5 was for letting him be built without a backup unit and all along Hermes was #5 (he was demoted after) and he went soft hearted when Bender was built and let him get built without it. So Hermes has been covering up his mistake by trying to make sure that Bender doesn't see that Hermes is #5.

  • @CherubAgent1997 That's... not that sad. It's just stupid really. I would in into details why but that would just be rude to crap all over everyone's moment.

  • @EdwardElric555 eh up to you everyone has an opinion

  • @EdwardElric555 People cry over it because of what I just say about it basically. It shows that Hermes and Bender have a long relationship and that Hermes has a soft side.

  • @EdwardElric555 it shows our humanity to everything around us.

  • Very nice quality. Thank you uploader!

  • Irish babies also drip out of liquor jars with bottle tops on them

  • Bender looks so damn cute! I wonder if they make dolls of him as a youngster, i want to buy one.

  • @ryukthekid they did but sales were abysmal watch?v=NBtOaiL98PI

  • I just watched this bit on tv.

    *sniff*

  • i never ever imagined i would find my 2 favorite cartoons as a full grown up man. futurama and the simpsons,

  • @13rataclan

    Here's the same xD

Futurama is just the best Cartoon i've ever seen. It's really the best Cartoon, the Charrakters are just awesome.

  • Can I just point out how epic it was that all of moms sons had moustaches?

  • i thought Proffessor Farnsworth created Bender?

  • @SpyderzVidz

lol? Bender is a Robot from Moms Roboticindustry lol Moms a Business Bitch xD

  • @SpyderzVidz Hermes did'nt create him, just inspected him

  • I'll be in the chamber of sadness!! "plays song"

  • What about when Leela discovers the truth about her parents, and then there's a montage of clips throughout her life, showing her parents were secretly there in the background? That made me tear up :(

  • its filmed on the wrong side XD

  • @TheJenny0330 yeah people on youtube generally try to mirror the video so that they can avoid copyright laws and not get their video taken down and account closed down

  • As much as it makes me bitter to admit, because I still watch the reruns of the older seasons, Futurama seems to have downgraded in quality in humor and has lost its charm this latest season. However, this scene gives me some hope that there's still something there - that Futurama still has a heart.

  • @forgottennamine Well put. It's not the same, but this was a nice bright spot.

  • i just love the fact that a character in futurama is connected to the other with some sort of great story...like hermes and bender here and the professor and zoidberg in another episode... :)

  • What gets me to cry is the last few bars of the song, and Benders cute little burp. I recently re-saw "Luck of the Fryish" ad "Jurassic Bark". Made me cry also, best seasons ever.

  • Futurama made me cry on three occasions. First the with Fry's dog Seymour. Then, with Fry's nephew Philip. And now this one.

  • @SpiritWolfram I love those episodes so much. I think it's great, gives the show more heart when they write episodes like those.

  • @SpiritWolfram

    same here ;)

  • @SpiritWolfram its the same for me

  • @SpiritWolfram you should see the one when Leela is reunited with her parents, that will have you crying your eyes out.

  • @SpiritWolfram Don't forget the time we found out that Lela's parents were always there to watch over her life.

  • @jpatton1989 hmmm.. I have not seen that one yet. I'll have to find it. ;)

  • @SpiritWolfram It's from the episode, Leela's Homeworld. It's at the end. But it's best to watch the episode from the beginning in order to really understand the feeling that Leela has.

  • @jpatton1989 Yes! I noticed so many people forget about that episode.

  • @SpiritWolfram what about child Leela? :)

  • @SpiritWolfram There also the moment in which all life on Earth is extinguished and Fry couldn't tell Leela on time he would be late. He thinks he'll never see Leela Again at that moment... (The Late Philip J. Fry, S06E07)

  • @wristlojackimator Yes that was also a great futurama moment! ;)

  • @SpiritWolfram Yes, same here, I also cried during the episode with the giant bees where leela thought that fry was dead, and then when he woke her up from her coma I was crying so much. <3 Love this show. : )

  • @SpiritWolfram Agreed. I also believe "The Sting" and "Leela's Homeworld" are two worthy episodes to add to that list.

  • =]

  • baby bender is the cutest freaking thing I've ever seen!

  • must rrobots drink BEEF OR LICKER :?

  • @kukuriknife1 It's spelled Liquor.

And the robots in futurama are powered by alcohol. That's what charges their fuel cells.

  • I actually cried at this scene. xD It's just so adorable. :3

  • Matt Groening told a better life story in 1:28 minutes than Stephenie Meyer in 4 books.

  • @Diegomayor92 who is stephanie meyer?

  • You do know putting the video backwards to avoid copyright is just a myth, it does nothing to save your arse from copyright.

  • Baby Bender is.....just.....so.....CUTE!!!!!!!!

  • @copperchipmunk Hey! Quit touchin' my junk pervert!

  • For this scene i like most of the Futurama! Like if you like to!

  • I love Futurama's random moments of sincerity and sweetness. Leela's parents watching over her. Fry's dog spending his entire life waiting for him to come back. Fry's brother naming his son after him......great moments.

  • Damn...who else is crying?

  • Hermes surely loves Bender

  • This is probably my favorite episode of the entire series, good plot, Hermes, and one of those sad ending twists like Frys dog and nephew

  • ITS FUCK BACKWARDS WTF?!?!

  • Hold on. I'll go get a mirror.

  • whats the name of the song

  • @50TNCSA Little Bird, Little Bird - Elizabeth Mitchell

  • :O :') so.......beautiful!

  • Oh god, why do I keep watching it when it makes me cry like a baby?! Hermes is the greatest. ;n ;

  • mum i want a pet bender

  • 0:42 you know thats gotta be the few times you'll see Mom being quiet or regretful. She actually looked sorry to see him go.

  • @Moonstone2732 Until she kicked him out with the donkey.

  • Hipster music.

  • the real question here is... how the fuck do baby robots grow up??

  • @Ese1Pac Maybe like in the robots movie. They get minor upgrades.

  • This scene makes all of the lines in the episode even more meaningful, in a way.

To paraphrase, "You are Bender, and that's something inspector five will never be."

    The song was touching, too.

  • It's these scenes that make you forget that Futurama is a comedy. Excellent story writing.

  • Awww baby Bender was so cute.

  • An imperfect life can still be better than no life at all. This is really touching.

  • You realize this backwords or not is still a copyright violation?

  • @McNamaraHerp rofl Thank you!

  • hmmm, i see moms sons all have mustaches. :)

  • aww, this is as depressing as FRy playing holophone without robot devil's hands, or Zoidberg

  • y is it backwards?

  • @CallumSk8er Copy right. Damn doesn't anyone read the descriptions on youtube videos anymore?!

  • @ChrisBrawlingMedia o yea sorry

  • @ChrisBrawlingMedia A better question might be "How can you possibly think flipping a video left to right avoids this being a copyright violation?"

  • Wait, so he saved Bender and risked his life to burn... his own identity? What am I missing here.

  • @Theonegamefreak He burned the folder with his ID so that bender would never know he was the one who saved his life. Hermes doesn't want gratitude or anything in return, he did it because that's who he is.

  • @MrChronicpayne Bender? Grateful? He didn't need to burn his ID. Hah.

  • @MrChronicpayne Actually he did it because Bender found out he had a imperfection so he was hunting down inspector 5 to beat the crap out of him.

  • In case your wondering why people flip or "mirror" their videos its because of youtube's Content ID system. The owners of copyrighted material send youtube their audio and video file of what they want to not appear. Then youtube goes through videos looking for matches with copyrighted content. Flipping the video around makes the software read the video differently and and won't register a match.

A lot of non infringing videos do get caught and auto removed, but this likely wont get fixed.

  • why in the hell users block content for Mobile?

  • So awesome, I love Hermes

  • i loved this scene

  • god dammit futurama, stop making me cry.

  • @redman8903 right?? eversince they moved to comedy central their episodes are much more cry-ish goddamnit

  • @redman8903 Imagine if when baby bender did a fire burp, little sparks came out :3

  • Futurama is talented in being able to get at our emotions. First "Luck of the Fryish", "The Sting" and "Jurassic Bark" [I might have missed a few]. And now this. What talent.

  • This scene is so cute I get toothache from watching it over and over (;w;)

  • I am proud that these moments in this show make me cry. My heart exploded with tears of joy and I said outloud "I cant believe you fuckers did it again!"

  • The real beauty here is that Bender was defective. Hermes saw that and knew his job was to toss him out at any sign of imperfection. Rather than leaving him to die he looked at Bender with pure love and saw past what he lacked. He saw past his defects and couldn't push the button so to speak. Such a great scene of love and unconditional acceptance. We should all be so fortunate to give and to receive love like this :)

  • @moneyshotdre

The message has a big hole in it, though. A backup device could easily have been installed, and it'd have been cheaper than scrapping Bender and building a new one. Kinda dropped the ball on that one.

  • @MyOldName

Dude. its a cartoon. Get over it.

  • @MyOldName You really think Mom would bother wasting money on that when she could just scrap the defective robot at no cost?

Remember, Mom is a heartless tyrannical bitch, but a funny one at that.

  • @Simracer1990

Sure, scrapping him is free. But like I said, building an extra one to meet the quota would be more expensive than taking five minutes to have a backup unit installed.

  • @moneyshotdre except that it promotes keeping secrets... subtext will kill us all; just look at the new southpark ep.

  • @moneyshotdre its a cartoon bro :)

  • @moneyshotdre

I'd like to add to this comment if that's okay. Throughout the episode Bender is in angst about his new-found sense of fleeting mortality, however at the end of the episode we learn that Bender had just barely survived inspection. In short, the lesson of this episode, I believe, is to look at the brighter side of things, be grateful for what you have because you may be simply unaware of how lucky you are as was the case with Bender who should be just glad he got to live at all.

  • @moneyshotdre That you for pointing out the obvious and ruining the moment. -_-

  • @moneyshotdre abortion?

  • @moneyshotdre It's episodes like this (and a few others) that make Futurama one of my favorite animated series. But as a result of Hermes' compassion, Bender was left without a backup. In a sense that made him a little closer to being human. A loud, obnoxious, morally corrupt human but loveable despite that.

  • @moneyshotdre Christ it was just a clip from an animated TV show

  • Beautiful scene!

    i love Futurama!

    i love Bender!

    Thanks!
