Therefore, the whole nation of Germany in WWII, or the nation of Israel when they killed The Lord Jesus, or the U.S. as they invade Iraq, none of them are really wrong. It all depends on perspective. But that's not true. See Daniel 9:24-27 and calculate the times. See Genesis 49:8-10, Micah 5:2, Isaiah 9:6. Jesus is God and the Bible contains His word, you need to come to Him.

(Like the accounts of miracles by Jesus, like the raising of the dead, like Moses parting the red sea in two, etc). I agree. Those accounts I can not prove. I am logical and reasonable, and I agree those accounts seem fantastic, like fables. But why do I believe them, me, a reasonable and skeptic person? Because of fulfilled biblical prophecy. Unless you discover it, you won't KNOW.

Can a person die many times? Does Jesus need to die on the cross each time a Christian sins? No. What Micah is saying is that his sins have been forgiven, if he repents and trusts in Jesus his sins, past, present, and FUTURE are forgiven because they are hidden in Christ's death and ressurection, but if he sets out to sin he is a liar and claims to have fellowship with Christ when he doesn't like many in the church. Faith and Repentence go hand in hand, it is a turning away from sin.

the preamble wasn't written by the founding fathers, for one. Two, there were many law codes well before christianity existed. Three, the founding fathers that did mention God never mentioned jesus, thus being Deist. Deists believe in the same god as the christians, but not in the bible. GW never quoted the bible for instance, just his god. I know much about our non-christian heritage.
The united stated didn't exist before Christianity. There wasn't even a North America. Do you know how old the bible is? 35 A.D and when was America founded again? Read the preamble for each of the 52 states and you will see the word God, or supreme being used to declare each state when it was set up.

Try older than 22 by about a decade. I am a Wiccan, have been since about twenty. Wiccans often believe in reincarnation. I also have a family, a child who is an honor student, and, in elementary school, reads at a college level. I'm not teaching him the ways of Wicca, I intend to let him get experience in life before making his religious decision. Whether he becomes Christian, Wiccan, Atheist, or whatever, I'll love him all the same.

Read the egyptian book of the dead. There is a story that is almost exactly the same in it. You can find at least partial translations of the book quite easily, and the book (or group of scrolls, originally) predates the bible by quite some time.

If someone has an evil lifestyle and someone questions it, that is not "passing judgment". Also, when Micah says he does not sin, he does not mean he NEVER sins, he means that when he sins, he repents, and he keeps a clear conscience before God at all times. Meaning, he does not live IN SIN, but tries to please God to the best of his ability,and this is exemplary.

Therefore, the whole nation of Germany in WWII, or the nation of Israel when they killed The Lord Jesus, or the U.S. as they invade Iraq, none of them are really wrong. It all depends on perspective. But that's not true. See Daniel 9:24-27 and calculate the times. See Genesis 49:8-10, Micah 5:2, Isaiah 9:6. Jesus is God and the Bible contains His word, you need to come to Him.

(Like the accounts of miracles by Jesus, like the raising of the dead, like Moses parting the red sea in two, etc). I agree. Those accounts I can not prove. I am logical and reasonable, and I agree those accounts seem fantastic, like fables. But why do I believe them, me, a reasonable and skeptic person? Because of fulfilled biblical prophecy. Unless you discover it, you won't KNOW.

I am a sinner like Micah saved by Grace. Micah is just repeating what God said. There is no one that is without sin. No not one. For all have fallen short of the glory of God. And we do not judge anyone, sinners are already judged. All we are doing is pointing out that they are sinners and in need of Jesus, because so many people love to go through life saying "ohh I am a good person" I love God and will go to heaven when their actions speak otherwise.

Can a person die many times? Does Jesus need to die on the cross each time a Christian sins? No. What Micah is saying is that his sins have been forgiven, if he repents and trusts in Jesus his sins, past, present, and FUTURE are forgiven because they are hidden in Christ's death and ressurection, but if he sets out to sin he is a liar and claims to have fellowship with Christ when he doesn't like many in the church. Faith and Repentence go hand in hand, it is a turning away from sin.

While it is true some were deist and even Atheist.. all it takes is to read the preamble to every state in America and the quotes from the founding fathers. If you need help in this let me know. the preamble wasn't written by the founding fathers, for one. Two, there were many law codes well before christianity existed. Three, the founding fathers that did mention God never mentioned jesus, thus being Deist. Deists believe in the same god as the christians, but not in the bible. GW never quoted the bible for instance, just his god. I know much about our non-christian heritage.

The united stated didn't exist before Christianity. There wasn't even a North America. Do you know how old the bible is? 35 A.D and when was America founded again? Read the preamble for each of the 52 states and you will see the word God, or supreme being used to declare each state when it was set up.

You show your age. My guess is you have never lost a love one like I have and we all hope they are in heaven. But when you are laying in your casket and people say I hope he is in heaven, what should I tell them. Should I tell them what you just said. Like I said you will have a change of heart one day, I will pray for that.

I think I might have not posted a comment here by accident. I doubt you realize my age. Trust me, I've seen plenty of the world. I have lost loved ones, nearly all of them in fact, and I take solace in their reincarnation. Go ahead and tell everyone I'd kick jesus in the nuts if he was real. Hell, tell the damned pope if you want. I've seen the new one, and I think the old pope was much better. He didn't try to stamp on Atheism, which is the current one's objective.

Sweeden, Norway, and Japan already allow what many would call immoral, and I am not talking as much about mans laws, you mention low crime, you can have low crime but high immorality. And you will see more of that. For instance lets say beastiality was made legal, you had some that said it was immoral. There would be some who would argue based on beliefs. Because they neglect what God said about it. Then everyone is having sex with farm animals..No? It was once that way with homosexuals.

Freespeach, when most rational people consider the issue of morality they think of crime. Murder, theft, property crime... things of that nature. I think you lost all crediability when you correlated beastiality with homosexuality. Not only is that a slippery slope but an inaccurate analogy. We have no evidence to suggest beastiality is at all common, that it is natural in the human species, or that animals can consent (which of course they cannot).

There is a documentary that came out called Zoo, about a group of people who think they should have the right to practice beastiality in public and demand their rights, but it does have a stark contrast to a popular movie in the late 60's of a group of men who wanted to have sex with each other and also demanded their rights. They won. Then they go on to say we have no right to say otherwise based on religious principle. Shall I go on with abortion? or something else?

Let me get this straight. You watched a propaganda film substantiating your own bias and you actually believe that is evidence. Do you actually read your own posts? Animals cannot consent therefore it is not moral. Furthermore beastiality isn't legal in any of the countries I mentioned. I feel as if my I.Q. just dropped 10 points.

Running away from the truth was something I did not want to lead my family with. And I hope I didn't just hear you say you believed in reincarnation. Reincarnation is a believe is something, and who does the reincarnating?

Try older than 22 by about a decade. I am a Wiccan, have been since about twenty. Wiccans often believe in reincarnation. I also have a family, a child who is an honor student, and, in elementary school, reads at a college level. I'm not teaching him the ways of Wicca, I intend to let him get experience in life before making his religious decision. Whether he becomes Christian, Wiccan, Atheist, or whatever, I'll love him all the same.

I haven't met too many Wiccan's so I don't know much about what they believe. Is it like Astrology where people worship the stars instead of the person who made those stars? I have only watched movies about witches but I think that is different.

No, Wiccans have (generally, the beliefs aren't concrete, so each person has their own interpretation) two gods, the hunter god of the sky, and the earth mother, aka mother earth, gaia, whatever you may call her. Wicca's actually based on old Druidism, as are many neopagan religions.

I know for a fact there is a God, and people who are dead know, and you will also know one day if there is or isn't. But for your sake you should hope we are wrong, cause all you would have to look forward to is dirt and a casket, but worm food can't feel anything and have no brain activity. But if I am right? do you know what that means? That means you will confess that Jesus is Lord, it will just be too late. Every person in hell is a believer, they say JESUS!!! when their feet hit the fire.

There was some comment below that said "this guy gives christians a bad rep". How radical do you think Jesus' teachings were in Rome around many jews who believed in the coming messiah. Jesus had multitudes that followed him, he could work signs yes, however his followers were persecuted in Rome to the point of death. Throwing water on him cools him down. He enjoyed it im sure.

right, after seeing this, I take back my earlier apology. By the way, if there is only one god, why is the story of Lazarus taken from the egyptian book of the dead? and the Jericho story comes from a part of Norse mythology, where a trumpet called Thor to crash open a gate with a strike from his hammer. Why does the bible have such similarities to much older religions if they took place before the events in the bible, and so couldn't have been an alternate telling?

Read the egyptian book of the dead. There is a story that is almost exactly the same in it. You can find at least partial translations of the book quite easily, and the book (or group of scrolls, originally) predates the bible by quite some time.

Uh, are you saying that the book of the dead will have similarities to the bible? It's older than the bible, so any similarities are the ones the bible has with the BotD. And that isn't "what" I read, it's one of the things I read. I have the bible, the quran, the torah, buddihst manuscripts, the rede of wicca, even books of the ancient druids.

Granted, the guy really shouldn't have thrown water on him, but Micah isn't exactly staying within his rights. His fire-and-brimstone preaching is like yelling "fire" in a theatre; he'd scare everyone into thinking they were going to hell, if anyone actually took him seriously! Also, just because he's in a free-speech zone doesn't mean there isn't a noise ordinance. If someone on a school campus is being a genuine distraction to the students, then he is overstepping his rights.

people may disagree with micah armstrong, but he has every right to be there preaching his message. he has the right to free speech just like everyone else. the asshole with the water doesn't have special rights to douse people with water whom he doesn't agree with. to me, that's ten times worse than micah expressing his own religious views, a sacred right which the founding fathers made sure to place in our bill of rights.

I really feel sorry for Micah. I will say this for him--at least he is openly discussing his beliefs...even though some of them are wacky. But truth be known, many long-held beliefs of Christianity are wacky...like "Jesus is God" and "The Bible is God's Infallible Word". I don't think Jesus even believed or taught such things. It was added later, and it has wacked up our religion. We need to fix it.
