A year ago I was living in WY & saw this & commented that it reminded me of home - now I am back & grateful. Thank you again for the photos that remind me of Old NE & home & where I belong
@trild2005 Welcome home! Ya've come home at the right time of year. The weather has been lovely. While I probably won't be in Old NE tomorrow, if you happen to cross my path you might recognize me by the "stupid smile" that I am planning on wearing then. Thanks for the post. And again, welcome home.
@crazytogab Thanks for the welcome back - just wanted you to know that your video touched me when I was so far away & I never forgot it, or where I was supposed to be - thank you for the kind words - sometimes we do not know how we affect people, but good on ya for this one :)
Well My father was gay and here I am writing this as odd is it may seem. There are many bisexual people about who settle to one gender, after the joyous event of fatherhood. Hey, don't forget, this is my opinion. But I am usually correct in my observations. At the end of the day, who gives a stuff anyway. People are people eh? It just saddens me to see the outcast being trodden upon by mainstream narrowmindedness.Shine everyone.Be yourself. You are special. Relish it.
@utuberine What are you? Are you comfortable with your sexuality? If, as you say, "at the end of the day, who gives a stuff anyway " why are you speculating over someone else's sex-life? Do you feel trod upon?
@crazytogab Nah mate. Not at all. What I meant was. it doesn't matter what ones sexuality is, to quxlify as a normal human being.BTW I have never had sex with a male. And I will never do it again.
If you can watch a video of Paul Stanley performing and or being interviewed, and with all honesty, say that he does not appear gay in any way. I would have to call you on it. Hey, each to their own man. Just sayin. I think the guy is brilliant. Gave so much to the world of music and performance.Actually, I think some traits of those that are gay, are almost a necessary requirement for some of the styleswe see and enjoy so much in entertainment through the years.Again, my opinion.
@utuberine I don't know much about Paul Stanley. I read a bit about him on-line today. Listened to a video of one of his solo songs. Never was much of a KISS fan, think I can only name one of their songs. The guy has fathered three children, and has another one on the way--due this month, I read. In a quiet moment this weekend, I may watch a few more videos, an interview, etc...Then, perhaps, I'll be better able to relate to what you are saying.
This song is about the relationship between Alan and Eric. Even though you got nothin to hide keep it inside of you dont give in don't tell them anything dont let it show Just like Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, it just wasn't the right time for everyone to know they were homosexual, but it didn't stop the world from loving them for their awesome work. My Dad was gay, it wasn't the right time for him either RIP Dad, And Eric and all you other lost souls looking for peace. God Bless.
@utuberine Wow! You are right. I pulled the album out and listened to it for the first time in years. This recording is short. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
@crazytogab AP songs do that a lot eh? Instead of ending, like most, they shift into another realm, with the same beat, and just instrumental away, on a little journey toward the end of the song, all of itself. Kinda neat, especially the instrumental at the end part of Old and Wise, with that chick playing the haunting yet vibrant, saxophone.
@utuberine The sax in Old and Wise is nice. And, it may be just me, but I think the voice gains strength as the song goes a long in that song. To my way of thinking that works with the story being expressed.
@utuberine What on earth are you on about? Parsons, Woolfson, Simmons, and Stanley are (or were) all married - most with kids. None ever gave any indication of being homosexual.
@300mspecial For people growing up in the fifties , being gay was something that would most definitely have had a detrimental effect on a bands popularity and worse, record sales. It was against the law in New Zealand, and here in the USA , to be homosexual. Get that. Breaking the law for being yourself. I believe that some would have decided it better, although it might conflict with personal morality, to hide it from the public. My opinion. What would you have done?
@1wyotech First of all, I have found this song like you to be a source of comfort at times. Before I made it, there was another video of this song that I had tuned into. I didn't like it, howeverm as it cut the ending off. So, I decided to make my own. The pictures are of things that i like--squirrels, the Old Glory, my puppy, Ron Paul, ....
@ThePeeterd Thanks for posting your viewpoint. I happen to disagree with it. One doesn't have to become hard and cold--robotic because they control when and with whom they express some of their emotions.
@crazytogab Where were these photos taken? It reminds me of my old neighborhood in Tampa, FL (not being a stalker - a general area would satisfy my curiosity!)
Well, it does have the organ sounds in the beginning, and that guy (I've got to go through the albums and figure out who he is.) does know how to sing.
@utuberine Hi. I am only going by what the 1983 Best Of Alan Parsons Project album says-holding it in front of me now & it states Townsend is the vocalist..
@crazytogab Mate. The guy singing this and many other Alan Parsons songs, is the one and only, truly great, Eric Woolfson. He passed away just recently. R.I.P. Eric. Long live the music.
I'm glad you liked seeing the Ron Paul Blimp. I enjoyed being able to see it.
I can't remember the last time I turned the television on. That's one more thing I have to appreciate Ron Paul for, indirectly of course. Thanks to my interest in him and the media's lack of interest in him, I've done a pretty good job of tuning them out.

i advice everybody to let it show.
let other people by showing know how you feel.
don,t let it show makes a robot of you, show your emotions and maybe somebody will share them with you.
nice music by the way.
