  • Very nice...If you think O'Hara played demeaning roles...you must see her & John Wayne in, "The Quiet Man". She's headstrong, and kick-ass for that time period. She's also credited for some of the lyrics to "The Isle of Innisfree". I'm positive that "grah macree" agrees...She's always been my favorite...as well as John Wayne since I was a little girl..."I'll Take You Home Again, Kathleen" my song also since I was a little girl...a harp plays a short refrain of this Irish love song(Quiet Man)

  • HAPPY 91st Birthday to the films' most fabulous female! 1,500 items on Ebay today!

  • @JuanMacready In Hollywood those days you did what was asked of you.

  • they are such a wonderful movie partner

  • Happy Birthday Maureen O'Hara!!

  • First time ever he burst your face. she is on the radio now, like an empty vessel.

  • Their sexual tension on screen is freakin' hot. In real life John Wayne really did have a crush on her. Their timing in real life was just never in sync, but I think they would've been a great couple.

  • John Wayne never said he had a crush on her they were just close friends and was describe as brother and sister almost. They had tremously respect for eachother :-)

  • What other movies have they been in together besides Mc Clintock. I had no idea they were in other movies together. They are one of my favorite screen couple. I also love their real relationship. They both are a couple of my favorites. Marine OHara played strong characters. Lighten up people.

  • They have made a few movies together.. In Harms Way, Fort Apache, Big Jake and the best was The Quiet Man.

    Hope this helps

    Mazza

  • 5 movies total: Rio Grande, The Quiet Man, The Wings of Eagles, McLintock!, and Big Jake

  • O'Hara played demeaning roles.

  • You got to look at the time and where it was set and boy god she gives as good as she gets.

  • Oh she had nic things to say about John Wayne, unlike John Ford.

  • So Wayne can't have been that bad then.

  • Well I'm sure Maureen agreed with his political views.

  • Cada vez que veo a esta pareja,me ponen los pelos de punta.

  • They were friends 39 years and I think he knew her more better then you and your childish ways...
