Yeah, this is impressive. But like everyone is saying, the weight is a big factor. And cars also take some time to produce max torque which makes them slower off the line than the kart.

There are loads of 250 karts, Biland makes the SA 250 and ive got a yamaha250 twin superkart aswell as a 125 IAME

hehehehe, 125 not even a 250cc and it blew the car away. Also racing karts arent good from a standing (they use rolling starts when racing) start so the car had an advantage, do the start rolling at 10mph and the win would have been even more!

mate i'm sorry but u obviously don't race karts ... i do and there are bascially NO 250's at all what so ever .... all the big boys are 125 2 strokes and a kart wil wipe out almost any car in any drag race ... if there is anybody from Australia there is an engine called a KT100S raced in the Clubman class and in a straight line up against Clubsport HSV or an F6 from FPV i know i wouldn't be putting my money on either of the cars

I got my first kart in 1984 and started racing in 1988-i have raced on 3 continents succesfully!, by the way. So dont come on here talking to me about karts. You stated there is no such thing as 250kart. LOOK UP 250 Superkart, or Formula E, then you will see how full of shit and self absorbed you are!

yeah fukwit i've been racing for 8 yrs now very successfully in Australia so u just shot urself in the foot there ... and wat i meant was, the majourity of all kart racing is done by 100 or 125 engines (Comer's are over here too but only raced in 1 class). you barely ever see any 250's racing at a consistant level except for the gearbox boys, and besides who the hell runs superkarts they're no bodies over here. oh and burnage again ALOT of the superkarters run Rotax's so ohhh back to the 125

And it was a 125cc rather than a 250cc(which arent a figment of my imagination, allow now-a-days are not popular)which beat the car .
