Charlie Weis was overhyped. Lead-ins like this one were the perfect set-up for failure for ND and the ridiculous expectations that were set up for them.
and 2 years ago they took Ohio State to the wire and dicked it up at the end when they could have tied and forced OT. Last year ND only really should have lost 2 games if it werent for dumb play calling at the end of the game or injuries. UM, MSU, & Tulsa all should have been wins. I'm just saying I dont know how you can stir the pot about Notre Dame when GT's history isnt so illustrious itself. Kind of hypocritical. I have not once said that were gonna go 13-0 or win the NC this year.
Why does everyone think losing to Navy is the most horrible thing that could happen? They have been to a bowl game every year since like 2003 or something and havent had less than 8 wins since then or some shit. Wait a minute where did you get your coach from and adopt your offense from? Navy is a solid team. If more teams would step up and schedule them I think you'd see they arent bad. Especially when Johnson was running that team. They'd beatin ND, Mizzou, Wake (when they were good)
shame that in 06 nd was exposed for being shit in 3 games that year and it was finally when charlie was exposed for being overrated just like ND GO JACKETS
