Paper mario is for me, the best game I have ever played. It is fantastic in every way possible. I can replay it a million times. This game will never die for me.
one of my favorite things about mario games are, their not just little kid games. because some of them can get wicked hard towards the end. witch proves that mario is just as much for the hardcore gamer as it is for the youth gamers

hay on the wii the game dosent let you save after beating bowser but i was looking foward to that most of all i was pised!!!! but for the origanal n64 did it do the same thing?
This is one of the best games yet it's an older one,i remember getting it when i was like 4 and having my mom read all the words to me ;p. beat the game a few times then moved on to zelda. NINTendo64 really makes great games.

Hi, i'm a Mario games fan and i have the game in the PJ64 emulator and i'm having a small problem after i get gombario, my emulator crashes after i have to go to shooting star summit, do you have any idea on how to fix that, or if there's anything i have to change so it runs normally, or any other emulator that works better than this one? @s4jt No...N64 actually had many horrible games. I'd say the GameCube, and even the Wii is better than it. But they all do have amazing games, which is expected from a great company like Nintendo.
Yes, I could count the number of good games for the N64 on my fingers. However, those games were top tier games, some of which even today are considered to be some of the best games ever made (Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, OoT).
I don't think I can say that about a single game released for the Gamecube or Wii.
@s4jt Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 for the Wii, are considered one of the best games ever made. SMG 2 is actually the 2nd highest rated game ever, only behind OOT. But i think i was downplaying N64 too much, even if it did have bad games, the ones made by Nintendo, and RareWare were amazing.
I don't think that's the concensus at all, they're considered to be great games but I think that most people would agree that they're really just games that have continued to build on Mario 64.
IGN gave Mario galaxy II a 10 but their reviews are a joke (I mean, come on, they gave MGS:IV a 10 too, check the user reviews and you'll see a different tale).
@s4jt Gamespot, G4, VGD, and GamesRadar have also given the game a 10. Most of the user reviews agree, and think it's a 10 as well, but when IGN gave it a 10, a lot of Nintendo haters got upset and rated the game a 1 all day, so that's why it has an unfair user score. But i believe Nintendo is really shining with it's handheld system this gen, it just outsold the Gameboy, which is amazing.

N64 games like 007, Megaman, Donkey Kong 64, and Perfect Dark are all excellent games. i beat the game now im going to beat it for second time and i will try to deliver all the letters and make all recipes,and collect all starpieces and bagdges and,and...there is so much to do in this game,its the best game ever! my favorite chapter is 5th (hot hot times on lava island),but i dislike chapter 7 (altought i liked shiver city)i didnt like the crystal cave with its puzzles,and i didnt like chapter 6 where you have to talk with one flower then pick up something than talk to other one

I rented this when I was (I had to be at least) six. But I was too young to understand it. So then a couple of years ago I bought The Thousand Year door and I fell in love with it. So two days ago I bought it on the Virtual Console and I beat it an hour ago.
I know exactly what you mean. Super Paper Mario was just... boring. The Thausand Year door was great, but this one is even better. The original is just the best of all. :-)

Good side: very fun and a very intresting storyline
The bad side: when you beat the game, and the credits are done and all the ending, and everything when you go back on the file after completing the game, you have to fight bowser again when it happened to me i was pretty confused
I broke out my N64 just before Christmas and almost completely beat the game in 2 days. I could probably beat it if I wanted to, but I probably won't. Except for the sake of betaing it again and seeing the credits.
If people still appreciate videos of this game I should post some videos of it. I really think this first Paper Mario was the best one.

If you want to play this game, play the Virtual Console one or buy it for the N64. PC emulators like Project64 are shit at emulating it.
So even though you can easily emulate the other VC games for free, this is the one game in where I suggest you buy it rather than emulate it.

dude, the game is 3d, the only thing that isn't is the character sprites, which technically are 3d since they can rotate even though they're flat

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its the 5th of july 2008!! no just kidding! still like the game though, how time has changed...but i also like thousand year door better ^^

The good sides with the first Paper Mario
Good side: very fun and a very intresting storyline
The bad side: when you beat the game, and the credits are done and all the ending, and everything when you go back on the file after completing the game, you have to fight bowser again when it happened to me i was pretty confused

I broke out my N64 just before Christmas and almost completely beat the game in 2 days. I could probably beat it if I wanted to, but I probably won't. Except for the sake of betaing it again and seeing the credits.
If people still appreciate videos of this game I should post some videos of it. I really think this first Paper Mario was the best one.

Bowser's theme was kickass...I loved that track!
I loved this game. It was supposed to be the ideal sequel to SMRPG, but not really. It's still a great game in its own right.

reminds me of the gold old days. Truthfuly, i want to work for nintendo as a programmer when i get older. Beleive it or not, this was the best game I have ever played in my life. This is the one game that inspired me to ever be a nintendo fan.

Super Paper Mario is crap and shit. They totally ruined the Paper Mario series. I liked it better when the gameplay was like Paper Mario and Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door. But they just ruined it. Super Paper Mario sucks. I prefered it's old gameplay.

super paper mario is not that bad guys, it couldn't be the same as 1 and 2 cuz it will have gotten repetitive. i agree that super paper mario is not better, but its still a good game and they change certain things to make it interesting. but im sure they will come up with another paper mario game with a lil bit of all 3 games.

Paper Mario is classic and they totally ruined the PAper Mario series because of super Paper Mario. I prefered the gameplay of paper mario and number 2 which is the thousand year door but Super Paper MArio its not like Paper Mario and 2 I wish it was like the other two but Super Paper Mario is crap why couldn't the gaemplay be like the other two where you had party members.

Hell no Super Paper Mario was crapped. That ruined the Paper MArio series. I prefered the the gameplay like in Paper Mario and number 2 also. They totally ruined Paper Mario because of Super Paepr MArio. Where you has party members but its now crap.

Also, the new Super Paper Mario game doesn't look as fun as the first one. ;( The 2nd paper mario looks fun. I may consider buying it. Though, I'm four years too late. xD
