A friend of mine grew up in Kinston with Marley, Tosh, Wailer etc., and recalled Marley complaining about Nash not paying him for "Stir it Up". I had the wrong song. Marley was the assistant producer on "I can see Clearly Now", not the writer. With Marley recording some of Nash's songs with Marley's band, I would have issues about paying him as well, given it may have cut into Nash's income from these songs.
