I was there at that protest (as an eyewitness not a participant) and have to say that it was pretty weak and pathetic compared to other anti-war demonstrations in the past.
Maybe only 300 people were there, and all of them were radical Communists and socialists. I even heard some people yelling "Death to Shah!!" at the counter-demonstrators. Hasn't the Shah been almost 30 years?
Your assessment of the size of the crowd is too high. I don't think it was even close to 300 people, but I could not disagree with your statement that "it was weak and pathetic." And yes, the Shah died in 1980, almost 30 years ago. I suppose a large part of the speakers were Communist or Socialist, but I would not begin to judge the crowd's political leanings without speaking to them. As for myself, I am neither a Communist or a Socialist. Thanks for commenting.
Well, there is so much hostility on so many YouTube comments, and in life in general, that I try to be civil in my approach. A negative attitude, such as hurling insults at people with whom we disagree, requires so much energy, I have concluded it is not worth the effort on my part. I appreciate your civility as well.
And before anyone jumps down my throat for that last comment....I WAS KIDDING...ITS CALLED SARCASM...If you didnt see that a sense of humor goes a long way feel free to get one!
Pathetic... We all know Iran is going to get some nuclear weapons from Israel soon because Obama will never have the guts to attack them

America is a hypocrite when it comes to nuclear weapons . America get rid of your nuclear weapons before you criticize the world !
