  • @SpiffCapt

honey, these are pretty much professional breeders....i think they know better then to have the birds out while they where cooking dont ya think?

they know what theyre doing hun....but thanks :)

  • @lilshortyk6

When i had a bird, it used to be in an open-doored cage all day long (except for night time). The only times i would close it, was when there were visitors or lots of movements in-out doors. The bird had the run of the place. This means also around lunch & dinner time. If one time or another i would leave the room while something would be cooking, i would feel more secure if the bird knew the furnace is 'no-go' zone, rather than a play pen.

  • if i were you i would allow them to sit on the stove. They cant read dials or 'see' heat. One day or another they might go land on it get their feet burnt.

  • lol they look at you like they're trying to blame you for what happened but they can't find a good enough reason to :)

    so sweet!

  • oh ya, put them on the stove....

  • @JayMaztaz

    my thoughts exactly

  • how do u raise a lovebird? mine bitee

  • at first i thought you were gonna heat the bottom until they fly out

  • this may sound mean, but i couldn't help bur think, what if they fell back in the pitcher (towards the end after you rescued them) ^o^;

I'm sorry, but they're just so cute and it's hard not to tease them a little lolol

  • rescue the babies!!! i love skittles! XD

  • i have a 2 month old peach face who not hand fed and panicked every time i tried to get near her,i managed to get her out of our cage and clipped her wings and let her see that she can't fly away.i held her in my palm and rubbed her head so she could get used to me,worked like charm!she is just like stargartz4's birds, just as tame.

just clip their wings and keep them on your hand they cant fly away and are scared of heights so she will get used to you

  • dont COOK them!

  • Yeh i have a love bird but its mean it will bite u if its out we rescued her and shes a mean little thig!

  • oo so when you buy the birds you have to wait untill they fully grow the feathers?

  • Apollo, and Skittles are so pretty! Apollo's eyes looked a bit red there. Is he still growing up?

  • i absolutely love your lovebirds! Maybe thats why they call them lovebirds, because everyone (maybe not) Loves them!

  • how did you train your birds to be so cute and funny during video shoots?

  • I know right! lol. They are just cute and funny all the time, and are always doing something crazy, funny, or cute.

    ~Rodney and Tamara

  • LOL. My cockatiel did that once into an empty flower pot.

  • Wow you have lots of lovebirds! And the baby lovebirds are really cute too. Awsome rated 5

  • hah :D they are so cute <3

  • aww poor things that's so cute

  • Aw, that's so cute~! You named your birds after Greek gods!

  • Your birds are cuties!!!

  • I WANT SKITTLES

  • They could take a bath in there. Just add some water. Apollo is like, "Ahhh! The big hand is after me!"

  • polo is so cute omg!!

  • Thank you for your advice, but we never turn on our stove even for a moment when the birds are out. Before we cook or even eat, the birds go up. This is the way we live, this is our routine. It is like breathing to us. All toilet lids are closed and bathroom and bedroom doors are shut. We even picked our new home for our bird's safety more than ourselves. I know you all are concern, but we are the ones who are the continence ones on safety issues.

    ~Rodney

  • My bird does things like that all the time i really love watching your birds ^^

  • i named my peach faced split legged love bird skittles too:) i adore ...him/her. haha. but it's nice to see bird lovers like me on youtube!

  • It is not cruel. We do not hurt them. Most of our birds are flighted.

  • To correct the ignorance of your response, clipping wings is the same as cutting hair or your nails. Breaking human legs hurts because of the presence of nerves.

    ~Rodney

  • I know it does not hurt!!! Its not the point. Birds have their wings to fly with, they have to get away if they get scared. You take away some of their confidence for your on sake.

  • Oh, you must have wings! That is so cool. I wished that I had wings. The primary feathers themself do not have a blood or nerve supply just like hair. Clipping the correct way allows the bird to glide across the room. He simply can not get lift. As far as confidence goes, there is not a macaw, dog, or cat alive that has the confidence of our lovebirds.

    ~Rodney

  • Yes though Stargazrt4 is 100% right, our lovebird had her wings cliped i recused her im and only 11, she was 100% fine with it!!! you r wrong though petraolofsson, i bet u dont even know about birds

  • it doesnt hurt the bird, they dont have dogs or cats I'm sure!,its like cutting a horses hooves it doesnt hurt them.

  • My birds wings are clipped and when he gets scared he just runs to me it doesn't hurt them.

  • Very cute. You seem to be an excellent bird breeder.

One suggestion: I'm not paranoid, but am bird safety minded. It might not be a good idea to show your birds that it's OK to be on the stove. Esp. since your stove doesn't "look" hot, even when a burner is on.

I'm sure you're careful; its just a thought.

When you're distracted, even for a moment, those "kids" can get into real trouble.

  • I just love your lovebirds. They are adorable! I have a peachface that I would love to get a friend for, will you have any babies available this coming year?

  • We do not really know. Thank you for your compliments though.

    ~Rodney

  • i would so get a love bird from you it seems that you take great care of them and they like people but i already have 2 parakeets =-(

  • That is so cute!

  • Try putting cloth in the vase so they may get out next time. =)

Thats what I did with my Lovebird, Baby, and it always seemed to work.

  • They are so cute X3

  • you gotta agree topper the citron cokatoo owns

  • I am confused? What does he own?

    ~Rodney

  • do you know of the topper the citron cockatoo if not then you can not grasp what i am saying. if you ahve then he owns all he destroys all other cuteness of birds and the like. what he owns is the rights to evryone on this very earths life, just for being so awsome

  • The cutest bird in the world is BeBe our original lovebird, and the most awesome act of any bird ever was George, the Orange-wing Amazon, who taught a 12 year-old boy to love again after the lost of his mother to cancer.

    ~Rodney

  • u let them fly around the house all day? cool, n cute birdies....

  • THATS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cockatiel LOVERS! SUBSCRIBE AND CHECK OUT MY CHANNEL!

  • you spoil them birds so much and your voice sounds so cute

  • cute and silly CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hhehe~~ guess what, before I click into here, I saw the cover picture of the link. It looked like the bird in the toilet.

  • I know same here! but no one would make a video of their birds in the toilet! lol

  • ha ha haa sooo cute!!! as i said before they are very lucky and spoiled! i saw alot of flying around that place!! Before you know it they could be on your garbage can!

  • Please don't question our Christianity because we breed birds. We merely let nature allow them to go through reproduction rather than taking that away from them.

Through the videos, pictures, and visits we get from our clients, we think we made the right choices in the families that took home our precious babies.

Also, we merely don't limit our 2 rescued pairs from breeding... we let nature have its way. Our birds have plenty of time out during the day. They aren't always cooped up!

  • btw, lovebirds are the cutest birds ever!

I, myself, have a cockatiel that I did not purchase, we found it outside so we decided to rescue it. The least you can do with this kind of business, is make sure your clients are eligible and capable to fully take care of such beautiful creatures because they do deserve the best of care.

  • Then if your so god damn outspoken, then why do you have a bird in a cage? Dont preach your veiws on other people or put down what they do, these people do a wonderful job and put up with idiots (like you) just so that they can share the love that is lovebirds with all of us through their videos and by breeding them.

  • To the social outcast:

This is a pretty silly comment coming from someone who does not know our reputation on finding the absolute best homes for our birds. Our babies are family, and it takes a lot more than just money to adopt one of our little angels.

    ~Rodney

  • to socialoutcast1980,

Dont say that!! People should be able to do what they love and what they want no matter what religon or culture!!! No one should listen to you cuz that is not right! Your wrong.

  • how do you not make them fly everywhere?????

my parakeet goes around the house flying.

  • Solo:

You can have someone clip their wings. It doesn't hurt them, and keeps 'em from flying too much.

Still, don't take 'em outside. They are so light that even with clipped wings, a gust could carry them away.

That happened to me, and my bird almost had to land on a busy road! Luckily, he just made it across the street into a tree. Whew!

Also, make sure to clip only the first 6-8 feathers on BOTH wings. That way, the bird can still fly enough to cushion its landing if it falls.

  • what are these birds called

  • lovebirds

  • she put them on the stove...accident waiting to happen

  • No worries. The stove is covered and the birds are never out when I am cooking.

  • your lucky to have lots of lovebirds unlike me mines flew away

  • just 1

  • o_O the stoves are covered.. and not on..

  • aww poor things! baby birds get into the weirdest of places don't they?

a long time ago when i had my bird, she flew around inside the garage and when we went to check on her she ended up inside a shoe

  • SUPER CUTE!

  • omg! I thought they where in the toilet LMAO! VERY FUNNY!

  • Hum... With such a big flower pot, there's no problem, but it can get very nasty if the pot is narrow... We have "proofed" both rooms where we let our birds fly, as we've heard some pretty bad horror stories of birds falling into house "recipents"...

  • omg thats too cute. babie lovies always seem to get into the littlest places.

  • My 5 week old lovebird, Peppa hides his head under the paper towell in the brooder. Is it normal for them to want to hide?? I try to play with him, but he'd rather hide.

  • My little Lime loves to hide in my coffee mugs

  • hahaha =)

  • Haha, that's really cute. Animals can get anywhere. XD
