  • y not change oil yourself then u dont worry about that

  • They took a lot of miles off the life of your engine in any case...

  • typical jiffy lube customer, someone who doesn't realize how easy and inexpensive an oil change is to do yourself, and how much of a scam these companies are. They're kids not mechanics.

  • shouldnt there be some kind of test to see if u can accually change oil?

  • well theirs you problem right there your driving a chevy

  • you shouldn't have taken it to jiffy lube in the first place, This isnt the first time i've heard of that happening to someone. i have a friend who Used too work for jiffy lube and he had 2 co-workers that got fired for doing the same thing. you really need to learn to change the oil yourself " its not hard" In fact its so easy a cave man could do it. i hope you learned your lesson man

  • even if it did run after with oil. the engine is permanetly fucked running 10 seconds without oil...

your going to have serious problems down the road

  • my goodness ya got screwed and did not even get a kiss they changed your oil the second time to hide all the rod bearing and piston rings metal from the oil pan .i...think ya have enough video evidence to make a case in court and how pathetic was the little test drive in the parking lot b4changing the oil the second time good luck your going to need it

  • How fucking stupid are you that you can't change your own oil man the fuck up and get your hands dirty

  • @snguyen95 your a real ass hole be proud of what you have become now go wash ya hands what a jerk maybe you cant reproduce and the world wont have to be troubled with your off spring >>>>>>>>>>>>

  • @shitbag401 A grown ass man shouldn't be taking his car for an oil change and have his mom yell at the tech. Because of stupid people like this a lot of shops fuck over ignorant people. His engine just got destroyed and he accepts a fucking 15 dollar oil change, it should have been a 1500 dollar engine. With a username like that it's hard to even take you seriously.

  • its best to stay away from these type of places. These people dont know their ass from a hole in the ground.

  • I'm not sure how old this video is, but your running with a vortec 4.3 you'll be fine.

  • dont got a car yet...ill always do my own work for this reson

  • @ older lady in the video You should be telling your son HE is stupid for not noticing the oil pressure indicator...

i mean.. jiffy lube majorly fucked up but when the goddamn light doesn't go out within a few seconds you're supposed to shut it off... that's what it's for

  • ever notice that most of the people that work in these jiffy lube stores arent even outta high school yet? these ppl barely know how to service cars as it is and they hire them anyway. and the class they make you take is pretty worthless if ppl still cant do it right. I worked at a JL when i was 18 and wasnt even there for half a year and i quit. Not because they were scammin ppl but i got sick of my childish co workers whom none of em i really got along with

  • If you have a penis and cant change your own oil, you better check if you really have a penis again... Because you most likely don't..

  • yup..thats what happen when your car run with no oil...worse thing and common thing will happen is your piston or motor will seiged up and Then say bye bye to your motor. They're not gonna take the blame and they will tell you the wrong cause of the problem. Everyone need to learn how to change their own oil to avoid being ripped off. Seriously LEARN its not hard.

  • People go to Jiffy lube because they are too cheap to take it to proffesional mechanics

  • I wouldnt have let them touch it I would have made a police report immediatly! Warped deck caused by exessive heat causing coolant to mix with engine oil.

  • UNACCEPTABLE! if they didnt put oil in that vehicle the engine lossed over 100,000 miles of life! a new engine should be installed and Jiffy lube must foot the bill. If this all happend then either they pay willingly or court!

  • i took my truck to jiffy lube and the fuckers only put four quarts in my 5.7 V8. when it clearly takes five.

  • "be in the profession"..???.. professional oil changer??

  • You are one dumb ass. SIMPLE.

  • 1:06 NO, the (millisecond) u run it w/o oil the bearings are done, might as well blow it up. 1:56 no, its not all they do, they just want2rush everything and pay shitty wages which is why their "techs" fuck up. 3:20 oh yes, dont forgethe fender covers. 5:23(jiffy lube problems)

  • Jiffy Lube SUCKS!!! That's why I change my own oil!

  • That poor vortec...The best V6 chevy ever designed up until the late 2000s.IMO.(Other than the 3.8L)

Other than its inability to keep a water pump or fuel pump alive...It's hard to kill a vortec. Lack of oil was its achilles heel...

    Rest in pieces young vortec.

  • @xXHEELTOEXx Agreed....

  • it took some life out of the motor, get them to say it in writing that if the motor fails prematurely they will replace it or repair it.Do it !!!!!!!!!

  • Reason they changed it the second time was so you couldn't show someone shavings in your oil and get them for it...

  • @406james your right about that did you get a lawyer involved and its not illegal to film 3rd amendment states that shoulda kept filming wouldve have been great for a lawsuit

  • Good job Geraldo, do your own oil change dumb fuck.

  • when the car first died, first call would have been a tow truck to a REAL mechanic, second call to a lawyer to make jiffy lube pay for a new motor

  • Wanna be mechanics thinking they know something!!!!!!!!

  • damn it its funny!!!!!!!!!

  • i wouldnt let them rechange your oil, i woulda left it. proved the point that they didnt re-add oil the first time, and make them replace the motor

  • They redid your oil to get rid of evidence!

To remove all the metal shavings for when they messed up your oil change...

    bad bad

  • your mom would be a better lube mechanic than most of them.

  • I like the part with the lawn mower being louder than everything else.

  • and this....is why i change my own oil.who is so busy they can't?

  • @deltafortress people that work dude... or people that don't a place to do work... especially when there's like $5 in the difference nowadays.

  • @deltafortress i work a lot but besides that it's cold and i has no garage. I have a trusted mechanic who lets me walk around the shop and watch while they do it so it's cool

  • cuban for sure

  • It's a chevy It's going to die soon anyway .

  • you showed his face lmao.

  • heard so many stories about stuff like this.a news crew even caught them charging for stuff they were not doing.mostly ex cons and f ups....feel bad for the one or two guys who know what they are doing but get stuck working with ppl like this

  • just keep an eye they dont put a slightly thicker viscosity oil in her to shut her up and say they fixed it lol

  • I always checked the level before the engine was drained to see condition of old oil, after the engine was filled with new oil AND after an engine start to see where the level is once the new filter has filled... In this particular case they obviously didn't check the oil level before the vehicle left the bay...this is negligence and an easily avoidable mistake. The manager needs to make sure oil levels are checked before the vehicle leaves the facility even if he does it himself.

  • Having worked in oil lubes, sometimes people make mistakes or there is a miscommunication and oil is not put into a vehicle. Normally this is caught when the hood tech checks the oil level after the engine has been started. Sometimes it's too late, but sometimes oil can be added and the engine hasn't been ran long enough to do damage. These things happen...it don't mean the tech is automatically an idiot...it was a mistake and the lube has to eat the cost of an engine.

  • LOL they either blew your head gasket or warped your header from running it with no oil. Antifreeze/Water leaking into your engine. Metal shavings in the oil = new engine IMO.

  • @KJamesSr

Lol, running a car low or no oil will not blow the head gasket. A "header" has nothing to do with anything...I think you meant "head". If anything, this would frag the rod or main bearings.

  • o hell no if that was my car i would of went to court and sued them till they have no fucking money. btw they cant tell you to stop filming this is your evidence of them not doing their job properly.the least i would expect is for them to replace the engine or pay you for what the value of what the car was and for the stress they put you in if you were to go to court.

  • Water in your oil pan, a cracked block or head would do that as well as a completely blown head gasket.

Usually with no oil after a few minutes of driving your engine seizes completely, bearings get destroyed. With no bearings you could in theory puncture the block with a connecting rod do to excessive play between the rod and the crank shaft. I had oil pump failure at 8,000 rpms racing, all that happened engine seized, needed new bearings, rods and crankshaft. No water in oil though.

  • I taken my truck for an oil change, even though I have built another car that made originally 140 hp to 500 hp. It's for convenience, they can do an oil change in literally 5 minutes, it takes me 15 and waiting for the oil to be cool as I don't have a big as trench underneath my driveway to ensure I don't get hot oil on me. The car previously mentioned... no one gets to touch that car except me.

  • oil pressure guage??? when i bought my truck, we did a new intake/card ( stock inteed of shitly-brock) and new cap, plugs..i started it, as i was told as we were setting the timing. it ran for 5 seconds on what was left over in the cylinder walls...noticed the gauge was not comming uo..shut ti down. i have put a few thousand on it and it runs great! one of the best engines i have in the driveway.

  • its a shame thats a nice blazer

  • You forgot to check the oil level son.

  • Happened to my dad years ago at an independent garage. Saw the oil pressure light didn't go off and shut it down. Everyone should check their gages after starting the car, whether just serviced or pulling away from home. I worked at Sears and a mechanic did an oil change and didn't notice that the gasket from the old oil filter was stuck on the engine. He put the new filter on top of it. It blew out and the oil was lost about 2 miles from the shop. They followed the oil trail to the dead car.

  • I had an 84 nissan/datson 300ZX that ate oil pretty bad. I got in a bad routine of work/sleep/work/sleep/work/sleep.... I basically went zombie for about 2 months and didnt give her an oil. I went up a steep pass and the steepness of the pass combined with the lack of oil made my engine lose compression. I drove a few more miles and then parked it and slept in my car. In the morning it was doing fine so I drove the 60 miles home and then I started checkin it over... it was 2 1/2 low on 5 quarts!

  • have you ever wondered why they call it *Jiffy* Lube?.......... but don't worry your not the only victim of Jiffy Lube ive encountered. Had to fix a lot of jiffy lube's *repairs*

    I hate Jiffy Lube -_-

  • Comment removed

  • That ladies and gentlemen, that is why i change my own oil.. even in my brand new car where i have the first 3 oil changes free..

  • you should learn on how to do it yourself

  • i would have made them pay for a new engine, no doubt about that, draining the oil after already adding oil isn't going to do shit, the main bearings are already wore to shit im sure.

  • Jiffy lube screwed up and so did the driver. There are warning lights and gauges in every car. I guess you were not watching them either to see if they were doing anything under the hood. Sorry but you need to pay attention.

  • PROBLEM 1 YOU TOOK IT TO JIFFYLUBE PROBLEM 2 YOU LET THEM IN IT AFTER THEY JACKED IT UP THE FIRST TIME

  • thats why u never go to jiffy lube stupid, its ur fault for going there

  • not every car has a oil lite. My old truck never had one.

  • exact same thing happened to me, but the dealership did it.

  • You have got to be kidding me...

Mommy probably bought him the truck.

  • WHAT!?!?!?! YOU STUPID MAN?!?!? Fucking should have told Jiffy Sploodge you wanted them to put a new engine in ASAP or sue them and you will win. Everyone knows not to take your car to Jiffy Sploodge c'mon man. On that note those 4.3 motors are pretty much bulletproof but running it with no oil has damaged the rod bearings perhaps and in the future you may pay for not having jiffy sploodge pay for it to be tore down and inspected and have a new engine replaced.

  • i dont trust and jiffly lube cuse there just dumb teenage kids working there

thats why i do fixes my self

  • Jiffy lube and these fast shops aren't really a good place to go for oil change . Best to go to a dealer because in the end of the day the dealer is cheaper . Also he is giving you a new oil change again it's because he is trying to get rid of the metal shavings from the bottom of the block which you can't see if you aren't down there .

  • the rods wouldnt blow through the block dumb ass, it would cause the piston rings to seize to the cylinder walls. and the rod and main bearing journals will seize on the crank. ( if u knew anything)

  • They have insurance against it, jiffy lube. the truck should have a oil light and a failsafe engine shut off. I used to work in a 21.99 oil change when I was 17, we forgot to add oil once to a car too...lol, it happens.

  • does your mom still bathe you and wipe your ass you puss!!!

  • fuck man, go to the manager, shit if the motor is fucked jiffy has to pay for that shit. Everytime someone fucks up at my shop, it comes out of their pay check and I fire them on the spot

  • I am sey but your mom a dumb ass the oil ligth would have come on when u turn the key don't tell me u don't have it coz every car got one

  • nice ass blazer but i would of ran it till the fucker seized.. can i have a new motor Jiffy lube? :)

  • typicAL JL they do it all the time they dont change oil filters forget to put air filters not uncommon check your filters i work next to one and the employees dont know shit about cars

  • some vehichles has a saftey feature that will shut down the engines fuel or ignition if oil pressure drops

  • That 4.3 liter chevy engine has an oil pressure gauge on the dash. Doesn't anyone look at there gauges. If you don't know what they mean you shouldn't be driving.

  • Why was the tech, that was in the pit holding a rag up as the oil was draining after they flushed it?? Was he trying to hide all the bearing babbits and piston rings fragments pouring outta the oil pan? I'm sure soon after, that motor was knocking on heavens door. I mean really knocking. Rapping. Probably also fried the oil pump.. Also, about the posts that mention the oil pressure gauge and or idiot light, the folks that do go to Jiffy Lube never notice those things. They just watch the gas gauge.

  • @capesquirt they took the oil out and hid it or dumped it to GET RID of the evidence if you had put a magnet in it would pull out wads of steel they covered their ass real quick..If I were you I would take this tape to an attorney and ask for a brand new engine...

  • Bottom left corner there is a something called an oil pressure gauge, why would you not look at it?

  • learn how to put oil in it your self lol

  • Maybe just change your own oil next time? Takes 20 minutes, and you won't forget oil if its your own car.

  • so jiffy lube must screw everyone over. my mom went to one to get an oil change and they tried to tell her a huge plume of smoke came out the exhaust when everyone knew the car was perfectly fine

  • They Suck Do Poor work

  • OMG i am watching it on youtube right now!!!

  • wait. so u drove it all the way home?

  • ya they show you the dipstick right after. In any case, you should always double check after having service done. you never know if the oil drain plug might be leaking or who knows.

ever 500-1000 miles, check the dipstick. a simple thing like that can save a lot of money

  • Thats why they show you the new oil on the dipstick. If they don't, ask. I usually do my own but sometimes it's cold, rainy or I am just damn lazy but I always pay attention to make sure they do it right. They hire people off the street with no experience.

  • Whats funnier then "Jiffy Lube" forgetting to add oil is the fact that this grown man cant change his own oil.

  • so did they replace ur engine ?

  • They changed the oil to hide all the metal filings from your engine being torn apart,

  • ok mama's boy we know mom must still do ur laundry and now shes gonna have to learn to change ur oil now too lol tooooooo funny!

  • i wouldve sat on the side of the road and rev the motor til it seized..

  • how stupid can you be to go to jiffy lube?

  • This is why I service my own cars.

  • It may be ok now but that caused alot of ware on that engine witch is miles you won't be able to drive. And without oil pressure it can cause other problems as well. I have been a mechanic for 27 years and I have seen alot of bad things like this I hope it all turned out ok for you.

  • Wow you can't even trust the "professionals" nowadays... I guess if people were smart, the time is now for everyone to learn how do motor work themselves and save a lot of cash.

My local Tire-Rama wanted to charge me for 2 hrs of labor at $80/hr to do the timing. I did that shit in like 15 minutes.

  • dude the damage has been done, fuck the re oil your motor is dead and head gasket is fryed

  • Even i it doent have a oil light, the engine will sound like a damn sewing machine

  • Hey, did they pay for the overhaul?

Like you, I'm very protective about my engines and cars. This type mistake is TOTALLY unacceptable.

  • same thing happened to my b uddy and they had to replace the engine

  • how the fuck do you forget to put oil in a car...when you're doing an oil change?

  • hmm...i wouldve asked for a new engine. walls are probably scored and bearings are probably trash. if it "shut down" something is very wrong

  • It's a 4.3, it'll live

  • You get what you paid for. find the $7 oil change, get the $7 mechanic.

  • changing the oil again does not compensate for any damage that has already been done.. jiffy lube are a bunch of stupid greece monkeys, i brought my 97 VR6 there once and it was about 2 years old at the time, fully loaded, i brought it there with a full tank of Premium Gas and when i came back to pick it up, the thing was empty... you fucking piece of shit..

  • If you people Wana avoid all this crap go to my page and watch my videos, I'ma be making tutorials and easy to follow instructions on how to change your oil, filters, fuses, and many more things yourselfs. I'm also Gunna make some videos on how to determine what kind of oil your cars need and try leadership shooting problems. Trust me people an oil change will not take you more than 10 mins to accomplish yourselfs and you will save a TON of cash :)

  • i hope you made them give you a new engine. cause i wouldnt have excepted anything less... this is why people need to learn how to be men... if you do the job yourself, you'll know its done right. what kind of idiot cant take out a drain bolt, and remove a filter... its esier and less steps than taking a shit. it should be part of the drivers education class to learn how to check fluids, change oil, wipers, tires... god people are helpess these days.

  • @moparmania74 Makes sense but there they can get away with somethings, they aint gonna put a new engine in a ranger (or whatever you want) with 300k miles on...

  • @moparmania74 Comparing the complexity of taking a shit VS an oil change? Only on Youtube folks!

  • no shit bro you shoulda blow ur shit up man get a new truck chevys suck

  • Mom please. Mas puto el huey mom please

  • how nice of you to have your mommy yell at them for you. grow a pair and change your own oil

  • @tyler111991 I couldn't agree more. What kind of faggot goes to Jiffy Lube anyway?

  • LOL forgot to add oil = overheat = blown head gasket

  • ill keep his privacy by not getting face but recording his refection.

  • Those Jiffy Lube "Keep my ride alive" advertisements are bullshit

  • Yeah, they REALLY suck, same thing with Balboa Lube Co. They fucked up my Jeep Cherokee and I nearly lost it.

  • That would be there ass's if it was my car...

  • i work at a dealership. weve had several jiffy lube cars come in on the hook. stay away from these un-experienced children.

  • it's quite simple because you should not have to check the oil level when you get it back, and typical person would not be able to tell there is no oil in it, they owe you a new engine (with oil in it). and a refund.

  • @02915a and on top of that he didn't want it recorded so it's harder for you to sue him.

  • U KNOW U HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO FILM THEM NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY

  • I take it you didn't notice the check "gauges light" on and the no oil pressure on the gauge either?

  • Not too smart posting your own Plate on YouTube

  • @CycleMan2200 LOL what are you gonna do with this? use it for illegal stuff? ahahahah...stop being ridiculous....

  • @ExtraTerrestrials No I am not gonna use it for illegal stuff. That is ridiculous. I'm just saying though.

  • Dude, you are as dumb as the Jiffy Lube guy. Should have ran that bitch until you heard the rods shoot through the block. Your mom is the smartest one of the bunch....

  • I would have charged jiffylube for a engine inspection by a mechanic of my choosing

  • drain that effin oil and take it for evidence with alllll the little metal pieces

  • Comment removed

  • I would've argued that they fucked my car so i'ma keep filming ya jackasses

  • dosnt a blazer have a oil light anyhow

  • @batman16242 actually they dont...

  • @Redrebel98 uhhh......yeah they do (@ least in that era of Blazer/Jimmy)

  • @1oldskoolluvr ive got an 02 blazer, it doesnt have an oil light

  • looks like they owe you a new engine

  • why cant you change your own oil? its not hard to do you too lazy?

  • lol at jiffylube. do it yourself, then you know if its done right

  • mistakes happen. they owe you an engine, simple as that. its obvious to know there is no oil in an engine just by the lifters not quieting.

  • @Tapersky - indeed. That engine is fucked. You run and engine without oil and you destroy it, end of story. They owe you an engine, settle for nothing less.

  • Why the fuck did you film this stupid shit?

  • thats why you dont go to a fucking jiffy lube!

  • At least he can change his own oil and he's not a complete bitch.

  • That means jiffy lube bought u a new motor

  • sorry what the hell happened after that?

  • fucking ass hole change your own oil

  • I know more too, most oil change places don't check fluid levels either.Had a Dodge Durango in for rear end noises,Dealership the owner had the oil changed at never checked the fluid levels.Came on the flat bed and found the ring and pinion cooked including the carrier and pinion bearings. There was a cup of gear lube.A check of fluid levels is a must during an oil change too

  • change ur own oil u bitch. if jiffy lube idiots can do it then u can

  • @rwny62882 This was mentioned by someone else, and I countered with this: What if local or state (or provincial if you are Canadian) bylaws forbid it? I'm fully capable of changing my own, but Alberta law forbids me from doing so.

  • that motor should be shot

  • Put in a couple of cans of that oil additive and it will replate the rings and camshaft surfaces that might have got worn down some. Another good tip for winter time is only put in enough oil to show on the tip of the dipstick. This is great for short runs as it helps the engine heat up quicker.

  • If you have water in the oil you blew a water jacket and something is cracked. Engine in a WRITE OFF!!!

  • ur engine is going to blow up!!! trust me this happened to my expedition and 10-15 mins i drove it it blew a rod and a couple of pistons;(

  • did they send em to oil change collage

  • @TheGrizzerlybear LOL I hope you aren't serious.

Toyota are made in America. Theres six Toyota manufacturing plants across the United States. Anyway I support the whole world.

  • Is this lawsuit worthy?

  • you want it done right..... do it yourself.

  • Dude ever think your truck just has fucking problems.. and It might have nothing to do with the oil change? HUH? maybe the truck needs a head gasket.. Maybe its fucking broken

  • I work on my own car. My own oil changes.,. No one touches my car

  • @adam3176 bravo!

  • def learn how to change your own oil next time, one of the most basic things you can do, but good thing you got it on film, they owe you a new engine for sure. they're the ones that messed up and they're gonna come up with every excuse why they dont need to, but seriously that's why my camar never see's a mechanic, i do everything myself, started out changing oil to knowing how to rebuild an engine, gotta start somewhere.

  • This is why I change my own oil, shit like this is way too common even at dealerships these days guys in the shops are rushed and as a result the quality of work goes down the shitter cause its a big fucking rush. Whatever happened to quality work?

  • to jiffy lube. They changed my oil on a brand new engine in my pickup a few years back after leaving driving down the highway the next day the oil filter fell off. they said it was not their fault. there went 3k no going back to them ever.

  • there is a good reason as to why the loghts on you dash have different colors, yellow mean somethings wrong check it when u can, red means TURN THE SON OF A BITCH OFF!

  • oil pressure gauge might not always work also i know I LOT OF PEOPLE that cant change there oil men n before u talk shit cause u can do a oil change i can say the same to all u who take ur car in to get major repairs or anthing u can't do cause u have no idea cause i can do it shit happens bet that jeffy lube didnt do that again
