You look great and your scar is *so* minimal! That's fantastic. Hystos are scary shit. I have friends who have gotten totally messed up from the proceedure. :/ Glad you're doing well!!!
I so hope everything goes well for you, none of us need a painful journey through life.If it`s any use to you,you are looking good.[I understand the pain meds ]
Thanks! This just might be his opinion but he told me that when performing a complete hysterectomy (removing the cervix) the abdominal procedure is "better" because it eliminates the possibility of leaving anything behind that could become a problem down the road. He said if I wasn't removing my cervix that the Laproscopic procedure would be a good choice. I just agreed bc I didn't want to push my chances of getting the surgery done :)
Hmm, I don't understand why the surgeon would say this. Possibility of leaving something behind? Like what?
The cervix is removed by default with a lap-assisted vag hysto and can easily be removed with total lap as well. Honestly, from what I've read, ***unless a guy is not suitable for some reason for a laparoscopic procedure***, doing an abdominal hysto is almost irresponsible. If the surgeon doesn't have lap skill, they should refer a lap-suitable patient to another surgeon who does.
To be honest I'm not really sure why he said that. He explained it to me, but it was 4 months ago when I first saw him so I cant remember all the details. I'm not sure if he is lap skilled or not...If he's not, then that could have been a huge factor for him not wanting to do it laproscopically. I'm just glad its out :)
Exactly, the important thing is it's DONE!! And that you're doing so well. Congrats again!
ps. Reason I was asking was pure curiosity--hope it didn't come off as a challenge! I'm facilitating the hysto discussion at the Gender Odyssey conf; I have a specific interest in hysto for trans men.
thanks for sharing your experience with us. now I'm glad I had my hysto years before transition. that sucks that the hospital didn't talk to jessica right away.
Not sure, lol. I went to the doctor and I told him that I was having cramps, and a little bit of spotting and I wanted to look into getting a complete hysto. He said "okay, we'll get this taken care of". It took 4 months, but after a sonagram, and some tests, he gave me a surgery date and that was it.
ech em.... prancin around in your boxers for the world to see?.... yea, I'm ok with the minimal chest hair ;) Baby I miss you! You're so hot! I'm glad you're feeling well enough to make a vid. thats a good sign. Has it been six weeks yet???!?!?!
Hey Brother!! You look soo out of it man, but it's good to see you. Wishing you the quickest recovery and all the best pain meds too!! Nice small incision, wow! Take care.
Thanks man. With insurance covering 80% of it, I just have to pay $1400, plus $400 for the Doctors fee. I got lucky with insurance covering most of it. Take care man.
You look good -)
