Many times I have said that the river should be dammed at the trestle. Thus making it a real positive for the city. It would provide boating businesses and we also could orient buildings and decks toward the river with real walks along a river with water in it. Fill it to the top and we could see a real change in and help promoting the downtown for development and more business. Also, would eliminate the other problems.
Interesting idea, but it would never fly as the few fish that do spawn in the San Lorenzo would be cut off.
