ive been wanting to see this for awhile now. being a 12 yr old kid in 94, peddlin around on my skateboarding, and listenin to these bands on my walkman kicked butt.
Jaipair is an Idiot. This thing should be out like what 2 Years ago And sayin they have to pay for the Music in this Movie, are you fuckin kiddin me ? All Punksongs from these Bands, which this Movie is FOR. They dont make it cheaper for the one whos doin like a Pro-Movie for you ?! GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE ! You can shit yourself ! I wont even get it, when its finally out. Like in 10 Years. LOL.
Holy fuck, that title is so fucking sexy.. I fucking love this, it's gonna be totally rad! Btw I can't believe some of you are bitchin' about "who deserves to be punk/in this film", I'm so fucking glad you cunts aren't making that movie (lol, like if you could anyway, you're probably fucking 13). Let's just buy some fucking shirts so this comes out as soon as possible!
everyone really needs to shut up about who's punk and who isn't. the fact is, they're all in this bloody film and its gonna be bangin so if the fact that some of the bands are 'punk pop' puts you off then u clearly don't understand the point of this movement.
I was so pumped when I got my "Save One Nine Nine Four" shirt In the mail, looks so fucking stellar. And I'm dieing for this to be released, It kills me to know It's been finished for so longg, what a tease haha. Best fucking bands ever on this thing, this Is my life.
Ok yeah they arent fucking nardcore punk. or 77 punk. They have their own generation of punk.
fucking 90's punk. if blink isnt punk then neither is lagwagon, Good Riddance, Hi-standard, Less than Jake, Teenage Bottlerocket, sum 41, screeching Weasel and New found Glory, and Millencolin just to name a few
@headfullofterror same era dude, all those record comnpanys made the whole 90's punk rock scene. from lookout records to fat wreckchords , epitaph. its not ALL pop punk but they do fit in that era
@headfullofterror same era dude, all those record company's made the whole 90's punk rock scene. from lookout records to fat wreckchords , epitaph. its not ALL pop punk but they do fit in that era
I agree, but Blink was freaking hard punkrock when Scott was on drums, in 1998, when Travis joined, they became poppunk. And last album, it was just weird. I think they completely were going crazy of all the side projects, that's why it sounded so not blink, i mean, boxcar racer, ava, +44, it was just too much.
blink 182 was definitely not punk rock in the sense of a political message. but when i was 12 years old singing "Family Reunion" it got me beaten by mom and dad. i kept singing it anyway. the just focused more on the "teen" politics through humor, and got every snotty kid in trouble with mom and dad, and none of those kids gave a shit. how is that not punk rock?
it's just for a different age group. if some 12 year old told me he liked bad religion more than any other band, i would know for a fact that they have no clue what the band is saying and simply likes the fast beat. bands like blink 182 were perfect for introducing rebellion into a child's life.
yeah man i totally agree but i think that when bands like blink 182 start making the majority of their songs about girls and love they lose the rebellious punk rock meaning that their band was meant to once stand for...i dont think you can really classify that as rebellion or even punk rock anymore
...that is also what i was thinking all throughout this clip. we need to see strung out in a documentary and this is totally their genre and scene. fast, melodic, early 90's sk8 punk all the way!
however, this might just be for the ones who really broke though. and strung out has always been somewhat under the radar (which is why they have such die-hard fans). i mean, every band they listed in this clip, you can find their t-shirts and stickers sold at a shopping mall.
I know. I mean they've been setting dates for a while now and the dates always pass. I'm not rushing Jai but I think it'd be sad if all those interviews went to waste.
@savant416 "Music clearances fees have prevented the producer from legally releasing the film; it has only been screened once, at the Calgary International Film Festival. The filmmakers have turned to fund raising in order to release it publicly." -wikipedia
I would be surprised if fat were to turn down this kind of a publishing opportunity. It looks amazingly well put together from the teaser and trailer i've seen.
Sir, you just captured my entire high school existence in under 90 seconds. The memories are flooding back, all the road trips and punk rock shows. I can't wait to see this movie!
the offspring, the vandals,greenday,blink182,nofx,rancid and of course bad religion!!fuck yes cant wait for this!!!!and ya get fatwreck or some label to help distribute this.anyways cant wait!!!!!!
Jai, the distributors don't get it. Release your film on the web and take donations (ala Radiohead). This movie is putting Chinese Democracy to shame it's taking so long to come out...
Bad Religion - How Much Is Enough? is the song title.
It's from the Suffer album, of which Fat Mike stated that it had "invigorated" their whole scene back then.
And it ain't that bad that MXPX isn't in the video. Many great 90's punkbands aren't in the documentary like Strung Out, Good Riddande, Face to Face and some more.
But I'm glad to see that many these bands are still going strong, and are willing to help on this documentary.
what happened brett,,,,all the gay bands you have on your label,,shits embarrassing

Damn some guys here are so fucking stupid.
Sum 41 is punk, blink 182 is punk.
It's not the oldskool english punk, it's the newer generation popular garage/skate punk. You probably don't know what the meaning of punkrock is.
Only the bands you listen are punk, yeah right. Cause you might not like sum 41 or blink 182, doesn't mean its not punkrock.
sum41 and blink182 on top :)
