I was taught never to clean bikes with a high pressure stream. Water gets forced into electrical connectors and cause corrosion.

It is recommended that we use commercial car wash places vs. washing at home to avoid soap and chemicals going down our storm drains. At such a car wash, they have dedicated drains so that the water from washing does not go down the storm drains.... Now of course if you have those natural detergents such as "Seventh Generation" I suppose that would be better for home washing.

That is a great move! Keeping a scooter bike clean. Plus, you get all the junk such as tar out of the tires that way. But then you have to walk it out and dry the seat off. Preventive maintenance like this rocks!!!
