@Xyrium I'm learning from his DVDs at the moment. And no, he doesn't just shreds. Lessons are divided on licks, every each lick is slowed down.. furthermore, he tells you which fret, which string etc. even upstrokes and downstrokes so retards can understand, what else do you need.. :))

I love andy james work and im not really a great fan of trivium but i think you may be underestimating them a little bit.

Corey is an exceptional guitarist but i think many people write him off because of that dickhead in his band (Matt).

You just need to check out the making of the road runner all-star sessions dvd to see his skill and ability......

dude all you really need to do is find the notes (which you can make up as long as they're in the scale) and PRACTISE. start off really slow and progress slowly till you get faster. that simple... it just takes ages. hope that helped.
