Just so you know, he's living in van down by the beach in Dana Point. And I'm not kidding. Sad that our icon and free spirits get passed over once we move on to the "new" thing. There should be an old folks home for skaters and surfers.
Back in the day when skitch lived in laguna niguel, he taught me to do a hand stand going down Los serranos on my skate board. The green fiberglass skate board he made me for my b-day. I was probably only 12 or 13 at that time. All the guys thought it was so cool a girl could do that. Wish I still had that board!!!! K.T .
We surfed the river at seal beach back in the day. That's when small fins and side slipping was introduced. I remember skitch and ken gunville and dexter padgett and lots of guys were pulling off 360s on waves......I remember doing three of them on one long mushy wave at ray bay seal beach....those were fun days and thanks for the ice cream skitch there at your seal beach home.....jeff sims
