I think at the end of the day she loved him dearly regardless of what we see and think and no one but Whitney can decide who she is going to fall in love with. He is not a guy that I would go for but then I may not be someone he would go for, the fact is they have a beautiful daughter together and both of them have had to learn some harsh lessons from the love they shared.

It was obvious that Whitney only did it to please Bobby. Why else would she degrade herself in that way. But, as the husband, Bobby could have done a lot to curtail their drug use and he didn't.
