I did it on my 80 mage it took me 1 hr and 45 minutes. I have a recording program but I don't know how to edit my video to make it faster. If somebody could tell me a free way to do it, I'd post a video on my channel.

very easy way to stay at a good distance

1st u swim out in front of the whale shark

2nd when the tip of him reaches you, START STRAFING

healthy tip -- if u strafe, u can hit the left or right arrow, depending on which way u strafe, and thus by hitting the arrow button as much as needed, you can constantly stay right in front of his head which i find a good distance oh and make sure u have lotsa room because using my strafe method, ull be going in a giant oval/circle make sure you have room, i

@cullencooks That's not entierly right, you have to adjust your course and there's a very small difference between your speed and his speed, so you might outrun him and he will despawn.

Its pritty easy once you know how to do it. It took me 45 minutes to solo him, kite him as a Druid. So i only could use Moonfire or sunfire. It was harder to keep him in line then hit him. Once you are to far from himn he turns around en goes away. If he gets to close he one hitting kills you...

Did some failed jobs first but was the first one that got the achievement from my guild and friends.

But i think you should get a title with it or a pet. Like...Sharkkiller or something :)

i tried to solo as a dk.. takes forever to just get down 1m of its health.. only get to use icy touch and death coil.. with the odd outbreak for extra disease. took me 26 mins to get tht far so i gave up.

@OrzProductions i just did this last night . i had to download a range check indicator addon to make sure i didn't out range him. if you're furhter than 20-25ish yards away he looses interest and swims away if you get a range check addon try to stay within 13-15 yards at all time (backpeddling)

problems i faced while soloing the whale shark:

1. getting line of sight problems whilst swimming in open water

2. when pulling it, being too close and getting 1 shot

3. a second whale shark attacking me (they swim in opposite directions, so start attacking from behind
