@beyondpinoybeauty If you have a simple but yummy cookbook and enough money to spend on (sometimes expensive) substitutes and pure will...being a vegan is as easy as living. I personally didn't have the money or the will, but being a vegetarian is a no-brainer for me. It's a part of my identity.
Brought this AMAZING chili to a Pot Luck, on the last day of my CNA class. Everyone was so impressed! Even the teacher was saying "Camila, I thought you were a vegetarian!" She was surprised that this chili could be so good and still have no meat in it :D I only did a minor change, along with all the ingredients you said, I also added "Bob's Red Mill 13 Beans" soup mix. The mix has a bunch of lentils, which I thought would be good in the chili.
I made this recipe too! I did everything as you did, except I put cooked quinoa instead of TVP in the chili (the same amount as in the cornbread) very close to the end of cooking time. It was sooooo stinkin' good! Thank you so much! I'm soooooo stinkin' (heeheeheeeee!) happy I have found you! You rock, little girlfriend! I love your vids! PLEEEEEAAAASE keep them coming! :o) <3
Wow! I had no idea about bean poisoning! I eat beans like mad! I always have 5 bean salad in my fridge. Eat it all the time. Love bean burrito's, beans in salads, falafel, baked beans, bean soup. How the frill I never hear about this? I bow to your wisdom.
I am soooo trying this one! But FYI IF YOU ARE AVOIDING GLUTEN: most beers do contain gluten. (sorry idk if you knew that) so sub the vegetable broth instead if you can't have gluten.
ohmygahh this looks sooo delicious specially at the end, but I don't have most of these ingredients and am poor atm so I will defs save this video and make it in the future!
Q: what do you study? I am a vegetarian and want to go vegan in the near future. i would love to open my own restaurant as well! what do you recommend i shoukd study?
Please keep up with the Gluten Free Vegan stuff! How about some gluten free vegan Coconut cake or some vegan gluten free Pizza using Daiya cheese its vegan and gluten/soy free.
Do you have Whole Foods for American Tourists in the UK? They should have quinoa, I think I read in a novel by Sophie Kinsella, Twenties Girl (Chicklit) that they have Whole Foods in London, not sure about the rest of your lovely country.
Haha, I´m not vegan or vegetarian and I would probably never cook something like that either (the "cookies" in one episodes where good though). But I get soo happy watching your videos anyways!
@HelenicSeaways I'm not sure about the UK but in America its usually kept with the dry beans, lentils, or rice isle. Sometimes its found in the organic food/ specially food isle.
@HelenicSeaways check where the grains or flour are. Unless there is a health food section. Look for rice, couscous and it should not be too far from there.
Brilliant! The Chilli looks wonderful. Just curious, would cooking it in a pan on a low simmer for the same amount of time do the job?
