slk did pretty good for a v6 . my dads got a normal 320 and its not reliable at all. needs whole new computer system on it. has all kindas of problems. havent driven it in forever. our old tahoe works a shit ton better than it. they are nice cars but not reliable my aunts benz has problems too

There are things like emissions and gas consumption, which limit the engine output. And when you buy a porsche, you dont care about bang for the buck, you are buying quality and a status symbol. Lets face it - nobody who intends to buy a porsche will consider an american sportscar to be an alternative.

Ask any experienced mechanic, porsches are the easiest cars to maintain and take apart, they are build to be easily maintained. Of course they have to be brought to the shops if they're driven at the limit quite often, but the fact that 2/3 of all EVER build (!) Porsches are still on the roa shows that their longevity is excellent. More than 100k is nothing, lets talk again when we've got more than 200k.

And Aftermarket parts for american cars are more rare and expensive over here in europe.
