@dwbryant3 No the frets aren't enourmous...they are just scalopped....which means they are dug out a bit more for cleaner bends etc.

Love him or hate him, the man can play. Frankly, out of all the rockers that "played " with orchestras, he's the most suited for it. He's comfortable around orchestral company, unlike other rockers that seemed nervous, can't read or write music and are in over their heads. Bigger challenge for a rocker is to play this consistently along all the vices that come with the territory, drugs, alcohol, legal trouble. Job well done in my book!

@son2of3heaven too true. The reason i hate heavy metal fans is because EVERYTHING is a competition, who plays faster, who fits in, and this whole 'emotive' bs or who can pick this, i've never seen it any other genre :/.

Look at yngwies face, and tone - lots of feeling there, lots of hours there, if the guy wasn't passionate why would he playing. All comes down to "do i like this song" - yes? good. no? move along.

@cacophony1 That's really true. But no only in heavy metal, unfortunately. I move overall on classical environments and everything is a competition also there. And it's a true pity that maaaaany musicians with a lot of talent and potential decide to leave the music studies because they feel that they are worse than others and don't consider that everyone can reach its goals with willpower and work.

I respect him as a player, composer and someone still a bit different from all the shredders we've got today.
