I actually like air potato vines. I wouldn't plant them in my flowerbed or anything but as a potted patio plant, I think they are great. Just don't let them grow over any area that you wouldn't want potato vine growing in next spring. If you want "instant" cover up a patio trellis, post or railing, air potato is a really good choice.
So do the mature potato plants fruit? If they do what kind of fruits are they? It is a berry like fruit? or capsule? Surely it flower s and when it gets pollenated it fruits. What the fruits look like?
They do. It looks exactly like a potato. Some can get larger than a softball. Last year I got about 30 though most were about the size of a golf ball.
Yeah they're a problem in some areas. Not in TX though. They die at the end of each year. I know they're a real problem in Florida..but not my problem.
I had one that grew 5 feet tall from nothing above the ground, between sunset and sunrise. Usually poisonous they are a constant fight as the tiniest bit will start an new plant.

@cdb427cdb427 I loved these but lost my plant when I moved. I wish I had one to start over with. I think they'd grow well in the long Alaskan summer.
