  • I'm pretty sure why this was cut is because the doctor should know the tardis' chameleon circuit is broken as it has been since episode one, and then got fixed, and then broke again

  • @1337penguinking Every time he fixes it, things go very very wrong. Remember what happened in Logopolis? He went there in order to fix the Chameleon Circuit, and then the whole universe started imploding.

  • I wish they'd left it in! It shows that Amy isn't as vapid as you might think from the parts they DID leave in!

  • "Get out!"

    Amy's just missing a GERONIMO! =D

  • i want the doctor/slug :3

  • And That Is How The Doctor Killed Amy Pond. YAY!!!!

  • WHY WASNT THIS IN THE SERIES?

    WHY

  • no porn here either

  • "Is it a cry for help?"

    "What?"

    "The bowtie!!"

xD I love Amy. I'll absolutely die when they take Amy and Rory out of the series. Too bad Karen didn't sign on for another season. /:

  • @CuteIsWhatIAimFor143 She was fine with another season. Moffat just wrote them off the show. She's gonna be there for the first half of the next season though

  • @chrishemsworthlove That's even worse!! Dx Oh well, thanks for the info (x

  • "Look at your hair. Actually, just look at you hair~!"

    OMG I love this girl

  • God so many unanswerd questions I have about the TARDIS...

  • Wish they had put this bit in!! Love it! ♥

  • "You've got a wooden time machine, do you feel stupid?"

Well, the sonic screwdriver doesn't have a setting for wood, so I'd say yes.

  • WHY THE HELL WAS THIS CUT!?

  • Wait a min they went into space without suits?

  • @Ninesvnsicks the TARDIS has a small protective field which holds in oxygen.

  • @leopardgeckos7 So did they float out or walk on something?

  • @Ninesvnsicks Amy floated out, as shown at the beginning of The Beast Below, but The Doctor stayed in the TARDIS, holding Amy's leg so she didn't drift out and get lost.

  • "OWWWWWW- good."

  • funny thing that when i watched that episode, i've seen this scene

  • amy is SO right:

im watching Dr. Who and im like "uhh wuts a police?" all the time!

  • @TheWeeCrafter Well let's see, the police are these people who keep order and arrest people who do bad things and generally try to keep the peace.

  • (from below) 2:10

  • Doctor: "Amy, this is me. This (slaps her hands on his face) is what i really look like."

Amy Pond: (slaps his face as she removes her hands from his face) "Well, that's fine, then!"

The Doctor: Aowh! (gets over being slapped) "That's good!"

  • Perfect! This really shows Amy as a real person, not just another character!

  • this wasn't a cut scene, it was filmed specifically to be an extra on the dvd boxset

  • "No seriously, GET OUT!"

That sounds like me when I'm giving people a ride home XD

  • No. I think it's good this scene was cut. Amy already came across as far too clever in series 5. In this scene, they practically swap roles. I'm glad Amy's going after. It's time The Doctor was better than his companion.

  • @iJarrp Why, though? The Doctor needs someone to keep his feet on the ground.

  • Doctor who is awesome

  • amy sounds like river =))

  • Looks like Amy's just popping out for a space walk ;)

  • Why did they cut it out! It was a brilliant scene!

  • A lovely scene.

  • I feel sorry for Karen Gillan lol, she would have had to learn all of those lines and stuff and then they didn't even use it. saddd :( LOL

  • @pie189 The Doctor explains it in Runaway Bride. The TARDIS creates sort of an energy field to keep them safe and breathing. Kind of like how it translates languages so that ever alien/human/creature in the universe speaks British flavored English.

  • @LookUpAtTheRain Actually, that wasn't the first time it was mentioned. The force field- that's what it's called- was mentioned in the original series that was in 1963.

  • so my question is that can humans in that show breathe in space?

  • @pie189 The Doctor can increase the oxygen field from the TARDIS.

  • I wondered how she got out there! It's a shame this bit wasn't in the Eleventh Hour!

  • Oh, not long... 48 years...

  • @RarelyEvil For us, yeah, for the Doctor, about...600 years, give or take? ^^

  • and then she dies

  • bow ties are cool!

  • This scene was *not* cut at all. It was *shot* later as an extra. But it was not part of the actual episode. The other one too.

  • Why did they not include this? I love it!

  • @tuseroni Sorry for me being pedantic but it's actually only 47 years from when the Doctor said it (48 now) as the TARDIS Chameleon Circuit stopped working in the first episode (An Unearthly Child) on 23rd November 1963. You first see the TARDIS as a police box in a junkyard and when they go off to the cavemen story, (100,000BC) they get out of the TARDIS after landing and realize that it's still a police box, and it hasn't blended in with its new surroundings.

  • @Ppppinkland I wonder why it was a police box while in a junk yard, or would the London Police take police box they do not want to a junk yard?

  • Oh i got soooo excited at the music at 2:24!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't care that they didn't include it in the show, all I care is that they at least gave it to us somehow. :)

  • @ChimaiiTV Technically he'd have been 207....

  • Comment removed

  • Hey look its snowing in space or is that just youtube :P

  • I would've liked the scene better if he mentioned the Chameleon Circuit.

  • Git out of my ride!

  • 14 years of guilt for leaving her GONE in two and a half minutes of blathering on.

  • This is the important scene that needed to be added to the show. There lots of people I have told to watch Doctor Who but have to give them the old version because it explains the Doctor

  • "Every time the TARDIS materializes in a new location, within the first nanosecond of landing, it analyzes it's surroundings, calculates a 12th dimensional data map of everything within a thousand mile radius and determines which outer shell would blend in best to the environment. And then it disguises itself as a police telephone box from 1963." One of my favorite lines ever!

  • @SeleneJessabelle1262 A line worthy of the classic episodes written by Douglas Adams.

  • @SeleneJessabelle1262 it reminds me of the vending machines in hitchikers guide...

  • @SeleneJessabelle1262 Maybe it only dos that because he leaves the breaks on.

  • i love the song that plays in that

  • transcribe audio: "there's a light on the top do you need to change the positive"

really! positive?!?! how does bulb ---> positive

  • Ah, Amy asks the age old question: There's a light at the top! Do you need to change the bulb?

  • lol i lover here accent cute

  • the doctor is a slug

  • They should have kept this scene in. I lived all the questions Amy had. XD

  • "every time the tardis materializes in a new location within the first nanosecond of landing it analyzes its surroundings calculates a twelve dimensional data map of everything within a thousand mile radius and determines which outer shell would best blend in with its environment, and then it disguises itself as a police telephone box from 1963" i love that, they shoulda kept it in.

also like the "how long's it been doing that" and he goes "not long"(translation: ~900 years)

  • @tuseroni Actually It's more like 700 years, but what's a century here or there?

  • @JustGuess500 he was around 900 years old at that point no way he spent 200 years before finding the tardis)

  • @tuseroni Yeah he did. It takes roughly that long to graduate from the Academy on Gallifrey. It's not like he was born fully grown on the TARDIS.

  • Comment removed

  • LOVED IT

  • ohhhh so THATS why at the beginning of the first episode she was hanging in space outside tardis! Now I understand!

  • ... Remindes me why I don't like Amy. Almost as anoying as Susan. ALMOST. One just complains, the other cries. Every. Time.

  • WE'RE IN SPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!!!!!

  • Amy is so giving the Doctor a hard time in this scene. LOL

  • all the questions we have all wanted to ask <3

  • "do you need to change the blub?" haha amy is funny. besides rose she is my favorite companion. i wish they would bring back rose to meet amy. at least merge the previous seasons with the eleventh doctor like they did before in the last season with the tenth doctor. this scene is pretty funny!

    pursuingscribe.blogspot.com/

  • Transcribe the audio xD

  • look im wearing a bowtie shoot me now

  • Why did they cut this out, it's amazing!

  • @slashfilledmind I don't remember them cutting this out. This was part of the episode. Eh, who knows.

  • @realmckay29 well, maybe are two versions and the shorter one is used in markets where they run more commericals than others. I know there are shorter edits of all the movies they did at the end of the previous Doctor's run and there's a shorter edit of "The Eleventh Hour" as well.

  • @slashfilledmind Probably because of time.

  • @slashfilledmind They didn't. They were especially made for the DVD and Blu-Ray.

  • @slashfilledmind they didn't the title is misleading it was specially made for the series 5 DVD release to attract more buyers

  • Amy is soooooo cute!

  • Bowties are cool.

  • For anyone wondering the materialization lever says

    avanti: Forward in Italian

    indietro: backwards in Italian

And the irony, the middle says folle, Italian for madman

  • All the scenes from the Eleventh Hour should have been unreleased.

  • They shouldn't have removed this scene as it would be really helpful for viewers that began watching in the Smith era.

  • @TapTapTech

and it never gets old :)

  • I miss you Amy...

  • Amy= Space core. We're in spacccceeee.

  • But its like its like its like...

  • 2:26 love that expression! Oh Amy <3

  • Comment removed

  • transcribe audio - "it disguises itself as a priest" LOL

  • Love the doctor's face when Amy is going on and on about his hair and his chin. The doctor almost looks hurt by what she is saying XD He is all "why don't you like me!?"

  • keep on clicking 3,4 or 5 on your key bord click it once every second:)

  • Please say "bow ties are cool" please say "bow ties are cool" please say "bow ties are cool"

    YES!

  • at the beginning she says 'Why is it a PHONE box', then later on she asks what a policebox is?...

  • She hits him, and he says OWW!

Reminds me of Eccleston and Rose..

  • What episode is this?

  • @olivebates 5th season disc one "Beast below" :)

  • i thought the "cameleon" system was brocken. not glitchy.

  • @plasm2 It is broken. It's not glitchy. You've never understated something to someone?

  • @TheMightyNinjaNerds i try not to. but since he is the new doctor he came into the thrown as king of understatement.

  • why was this not put in!?

  • love it is there one with rory's questions would love that. :)

  • one of the best scenes of the show! Why do they cut the best stuff?! :(

  • Why didn't they include this scene? Makes Doctor Who feel like Doctor Who again, proper doctor companion conversations

  • I just realized...do they ever blink?

  • @chocococo321 Certainly not! Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. x3

  • Aww this is such a good scene between them; they should've left it in.

  • Wait.... If the Doctor lives in the TARDIS then what will happen when he runs out of food?? Does he go shopping?? Or does it just magicly appear??

  • @DoctorWhoRox132 Guess he just goes to a shop, shows the psychic paper and lies to get free food.

Or maybe he lands by a little scottish girl's house and asks her if she has apples.

Or maybe he doesn't even have to eat, being an alien and all...

  • @ReccsTheDead But what about his companions?? They're humans and they need to eat!!

  • @DoctorWhoRox132 bigger on the inside - the Tardis has tons of rooms, a pool, wardrobes, different bedrooms, I'm sure it has a kitchen too.

  • @thesuperfe Yeah I know it does but how does he get the food??

  • 1:14 12 deminsianal

  • FEZS ARE COOL

  • I love the irony in that it really IS special effects. :)

  • the doctor pushes amy out of the TARDIS and falls to her death and the doctor smiles and laughs...........what a psycho!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @holocing084 You can't fall in space, there's no gravity. She'd suffocate to death instead, or maybe rapidly decompress and explode.

  • @stumpymcgoat The TARDIS has a forcefield idiot

  • @DrWhopotte I know that

  • Awww, they're so cute!!!

  • "are you like a tiny little slug in a human suit?" gotta love amy!

  • actually just look at your HAIR!

  • are u like a tiny little slug in a human sute?

  • Bow Ties are cool

  • wow... doctor moment for amy???

  • THIS IS HOW HE LOOKS???

  • First Doctor had Retardis. I love DW!

  • God damn she's annoying in this scene... xD

  • Patrick Stewart made being bald cool; I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more bow ties now...

  • Boties are Cool!

  • Omg this show is for kids, not grow up men!

  • Well he practically just killed that girl..

  • you have a wooden time machine, do you feel stupid?

  • "...and then it disguises itself as a police telephone box from 1963."

  • "Is that why you walk like that?" LOL. According to Steven Moffat, Matt Smith walks like a drunken giraffe. :)

  • @FuriousStrength It has happened before. Hung an out of order sign on it once.

  • Hahaha bow ties are cool

  • Guys this wasn't an edited seen cut out of an episode! It's and extra in the DVD. It's about what foes on in the TARDIS in-between 2 episodes. It's just a funny extra!

  • Step 1: Turn on Transcribe Audio.

    Step 2: Jump to 2:40.

    Step 3: Asbestos here!

  • @HeroOfVortex and for portal 2 fans .... SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!! ..Space :P

  • Its camouflage, Its disguise is a police telephone box for 1963, every time the tardis materializes in a new location within the first nanosecond of landing it analyses its surroundings calculates a 12 dimensional data map of everything within a 1000 mile radius and determines which outer shell would blend in best with the environment...and then it disguises itself as a police telephone box from 1963.

  • @floooooooooooooooood Isn't it's chameleon thing broken on the Doctor's Tardis?

  • @Twankiez1019 Yes.

  • @Twankiez1019 Chameleon Ciruit broken since 1963 but it's never explained how it's just broken.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @floooooooooooooooood It's not camouflage, It's a chameleon circuit.

  • Because about such a scene they had allready. One involving the 10th Doctor.

  • i love this show but when she says "shoot me now!"

It sounds like "shit me now!" Lol ahhhhhh but why delete this scene? it's just Brilliant!!!! :D

  • Beautiful piece of acting by Karen Gillan when she looks out into space.

  • 1) She is beautiful as a Police Box, and I love her.

    2) His hair is beautiful as is his chin.

    3) His bowie is cool.

    4) Amy is gorgeous.

    5) The Doctor mentions WHY she is stuck as a police box in the episode Boom Town I believe.

    6) The Doctor is a sexy alien.

    7) Why in the fuck was this scene cut?

  • its camouflage, Its disguise is a police telephone box for 1963, every time the tardis materializes in a new location in the first nanosecond of landing it analyses its surroundings calculates a 12 dimensional data map of everything within a 1000 mile radius and determines which outer shell would blend in best with the environment, and then it disguises itself as a police telephone box from 1963

  • @rojueru Yes, thank you. I had trouble listening to Matt Smith's perfectly audible voice.

  • i think the tardis has a perception filter that helps it so that people don't notice it as much

  • I love how he says "and determines which outer shell would blend in best with the environment." Hes little impressed smile and tone of voice. He loves his T.A.R.D.I.S. <3

  • Actually, as explained in the episode 'Blink' the police box is never quite accurate. It looks like one, but its slightly the wrong shape, the windows are too high/wrong size etc etc.

That and the fact that nothing short of a fully fledged
