some of us leave abroad and very far from home...some cant afford to get such music due unnavoidable circumstances.when we hear and see such videos from our home country then we are really happy...for then do we feel near from home.....its a blessing to you when one says thank you....

  • the original clip is DAD'S LOVE OF COMOROS Chakachas and has merely copied. is shameful

  • The instrumental arrangement of this song is very pleasing...Unforgettable. Unbeatable.

    wakila GATI lazima watombwe nje.

Adam Ndaro Solomon - Toronto Canada (Winner at 2005 Canadian Music Awards)

  • The music is from Kenya but the dancers are from Comoros Island. I have been to that Island their swahili is totally different from kenyan and Tanzanian Kiswahili. Kenyan swahili especially from the Coastal region Mombasa, is more like Tz kiswahili. So please stop using rumors that the comorian singer is singing in Tz or Kenyan swahili, the man is totally singing a different song they just used their video for this chakacha.

  • Nice video, but dis dance not Chakacha. The song is from Kenya but the dance is Mahoray dance. The style is different from chakacha, the hips is more like Tahiti Hula.

  • nimepata dereva ajuae gari langu laenda mbio.........

  • I grew up in Tanzania & Kenya, & I never lost my love for the Mswahili watu. See my video about that here on youtube.

  • @speakswahilidammit kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk@mswahili watu....lmao

  • nice ass.

  • this song will never die i guess

  • Vitu vitu vitu

  • and i thought I knew how to shake it, ...but not!!!

  • @hasahnee

  • wooooooooooo this here is the best video cause its good

  • Mambo safi hapa.

Utamadni wa uSwahilini utukuzwe na kukuzwa jameni!

Swahili Culture...nobody will take it away from us...not whites, not arabs.

  • Comoros share similar culture with Kenya and tanzania, but it's not same countries ! it's like you show pictures of USA with a music of UK, and say that your video and music on are about UK. Maybe you didn't know, so i can't blame u!!IF i watch your video and don't know anything about Kenya or Comoros, i can think in Kenya men and women look and dance like that, and it's wrong!!

  • Comment removed

  • I know these pictures are from comoros because i know this video and the singer. He is comori

  • Sure i can proove it, these are comorian pictures, i am not talking about the song here, just these pictures, It's a comorian singer, and it's her clip, i know and see him, he sing in many comorian ceremonies and celebrations.

  • HEY guys!the sound is from kenya, but not the video at all, theses pictures and women dancing here are from Comoros Island, not Kenya! So it's a big mistake!

  • Nomaaa! nshakumbuka sana...Inabidi nipange safari haraka iwezekanavyo!

  • we should be proud of our diverse culture.brings good memories.

  • lamuboy, when will u stop to mix comoros' video with kenya's song ?

you are not honest. at least you should indicate where does come from this video.

  • mkuki2000 a colonial mentality . Zanzibar-centric approach

    to Swahili culture, which seeks

to locate all the Swahili culture to arab Zanzibar/TZ.truth swahili/taarab was in places like lamu before zanzibar was a even a sultante.they just didn't call taarab-probably kibangala.small bands yes.swahili origins and culture have deep roots in lamu -kismayu people and not zanzibar

  • What is your problem?....what a hell is Lamu?..are you dreaming?...Taarabs roots are lying hidden under the palm trees in the coast of Tanzania..and the entire coastline of Tanzania and Kenya is the habitat of Swahili people!!...end of discussion!!

  • pangani, get your history rite mate, i could tell you so much you would b´liv me , thats y i dont wana start anyways.

  • If you cant SHAKE it , you are not invited.

  • luv the video, reminds a bit of my Somali culture, the colourful dresses and tying a robe around the arse when shaking it lol

  • all east africans share the same culture, only different names to the songs/dances as chakacha, neeko, kishuri, kiuno.......get the drift?

  • yeah everyone shakes it the best way they know unlike ple who think it can be taught or try to get technical with the moves, or try to compare, there no loosers nor winners in dance its the passion that shines thru every human being...that s why africans are tight with their dances

  • Amen to that rimofab!

  • You are right my dear. Some people ask me if they are dancing well. I tell them the same thing. Dancing is your mood and state of mind.

  • Yaani hii nyimbo imeniacha hoiiii

  • nzuri sana

  • Someone organise an East Africabn Taarab Festival to showcase the talent of this beautiful music. , Tanzania Kenya The Gulf,Comoro,or whoever has contributed to its evolution.

  • i havent seen one single kenyan taarab video yet only Tanzanian, can you please add one!

  • Kenyans don't have taarab we have chakacha which is what you just watched up here..it's sad coz its almost extinci now but it is wonderful wonderful music

  • whu told you that safari sound band from kenya??? dont make ppls paughin on you ..

  • Have you ever been to kenya, nimezaliwa pwani and we have it all. taarabu, chakacha na bango....

  • Who said that there is no taarab in Kenya? Go back to the days of Johari Ochestra famous for the song Kasha, Morning Star etc. If we did not have taarab, what has been Zein Albdiin doing since the 60s? A song like Kasha was done long time ago and this is not Chakacha!

  • Vipi sasa? mbona hivyo? n'nani alosema hivyo? usiwe na wasiwasi taarab ipo Tanzania na inazidi kukuzwa!!

  • i swear this is tanzanian...

  • no,these are comoros our neighbour near the Mafia islands in Tanzania many lives in Dar. i only see Tanzanian and comoros here!

  • oh ok thnx 4 the info!

  • does it matter? all the east african coast tribes share many cultures. from kenya down to tanzania. am kenyan and i danced this for high school traditional dance. so wacheni ugomvi, mipaka ni ya wakoloni, we are one people.

  • That's a very smart comment ilavaya, hats off to you!

  • I say we need people who think like you! I will vote for you anytime lol!Only one person with your mentally in cabinet could change Africa.

  • Tanzania, Kenya, Comoros, what's the difference? Same culture.

  • no girl it's not it's chakacha and chakacha is from the kenyan coast..it's similar to what you have which is taarab but still very different our chakacha style has more tempo or whatever you call it...

  • Have I been to Kenya... lol I was born and raised there kwani ulidhani natoka wapi? We have it all now because everyone is making taarab. It originally came from TZ is what i'M saying if you go back about 60 years..pwani tulikuwa na chakacha tu amd it died out because the taarab style started coming in so now kuna wa pwani ambao wanaimba taarab pia.
