Nice but I think I'm getting a cheaper metal detector just like that called the bounty hunter quick draw 2 but the screen is red and people say it's better than pioneer 202 and 505 so also the screen is red and it's $169.99 and I'm getting it at a local walmart in Jupiter Florida and comes with pinpointer and carry bag and metal detector
What you're saying is very true. My first metal detector was from Radio Shack and cost only $39.00. I had lots of fun with it. On my dads old place I had found 3 mercury dimes a 1931 a 1943 and 1944 I also found a 1926 standing liberty quarter. That was in 1985. In 1996 I bought me a Garret that was about $500.00 but I liked my cheapy better. I now want to buy a Teknetics 4000 cause it's good for the price($349.00) and is easy to use. Thanks for the video and goodluck hunting coins.
I used my 202 @ Sabastian inlet in Florida and found a gold ring with 5 jewels on it @ 6" deep sand in about 10" of water. (The coil is water proof) I had one of the people at Mel Fisher's shop there at the beach look at it and was told the ring most likely was 1700-ish and probably came from one of many ship wrecks there. Because it was found in the inlet, it was mine to keep. BTW, the tone was low, which you state is "scrap". I agree, dig all signals... ya never know what is under the dirt.
@MsSandwalker I just know about the 202, sounds like to me that you are paying the extra money for the pin pointer. I know what has worked for me and I passed the 202 to my daughter and it seems to work well for her. I have bought me a Garrett Ace 350.
@geraldlee33 i used to have a pioneer 202 found lots of stuff wheats barber dime 6 inches deep walking liberty half 50 percent of detecting is the person using the detector your 202 is a good detector
found more stuff with my bounty hunter land star over my garrett treasure ace 300 the bounty hunter is a far better detector over the ace 300 I have a old garrett s1 from 1981 that works good bought it for 30 dollars and found 300 dollars with it rings coins what part of Kentucky are you in I am in georgetown ky
After watching your video, I decided to buy the Pioneer 202 off Craigslist, being a newby I took it backyard hunting, took about 10 minites and I dug up 6 different things! Thanks for your video! it helped me!
@chickenpoper If you're very into it I say spend your money and get an Ace 250 ($250). if you're not so into it get a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV ($100).
I own a pioneer 202 detector also...I got LUCKY with my first find! I found a coin/token here in Beloit, WI. It is dated 1837 and I researched it to be a U.S "Hardtimes" token. Value isn't much but to me it is a prize.
I'm suppose to be getting a Bounty Hunter IV metal detector for Christmas. I can't wait to get it.
