Has Cobrinha ever pulled this off in competition? because it looks like there is plenty of space for a fast guy to pull his elbow out before it gets cranked.
well if you train capoeira, it's pretty much the same movement as one of the most basic moves... i heard cobrinha also did capoeira, if he did then it makes sense
All techniques have a risk factor. In this case landing on your hand just slows you down, if he pulls away and you have a goot grip on the arm you're attacking, then by him pulling away, it will take wieght off of the hand you planted on. If he decides to bend the arm to defend, then continue the roll and finish the arm facing towards his feet.

True, true. I'm just hesitant since I have snapped both tendons in my elbows. Ouch.

Maybe you could drop onto your forarm instead of your hand ??

Nah. Less fun.
adamish1134 3 years ago
Why would this be any better than a flying armbar? You just added the risk of snapping the tendon in your elbow.

i dont think anybody said its better than the flying armbar bro. its just another option to it. =p

@adamish1134 He used his arm to absorb the impact the same way that you would if you were doing a forward roll.
