I love how sleazy the incredibly distorted, bassed-out guitar line sounds. The perfect counterpart to something as sleazy as Britney's original video, only masculine.

To answer your question, the series has no overt lesbian themes, just light undertones and implications. I must remark on how ignorant your comment is, though. Although my feelings towards the genre are fairly neutral, I'd hesitate to call yuri stupid. Sure, it might not have pretty boys to make you "squeeal" but the majority of yuri titles are quite enjoyable, solid romances, especially when compared with most of the generic yaoi garbage I see these days. Think before you speak, m'kay?

Spoiler! The movie is yuri and has lotsa yummy kiss scenes. :) In the anime Utena & Anthy never really get together romantically (although it is insinuated as a possibility at times). But they have a very deep and poignant friendship. There is a lesbian character, and there is also some implied yaoi, but overall the anime comes under shoujo ai. Shocking I know. O.O

This is an amazing anime - it defies categorization really. ^^ It's about the power of love against remarkable odds. Watch eet!

Moral of this story? In the SKU universe, the only non-creepy and disturbed relationships are the lesbian ones. Although Juri/Shiori still makes no sense to me, probably because I've only read the manga up to volume three and seen episodes, like, 23-26 or something of the anime. Oh, there's this awesome theory I saw someone expounding on at the IMDb page for the movie. This person came up with the idea that in the movie, Anthy, Utena and Shiori are all one person living in a fantasy. Utena split off from Anthy when Anthy was unable to admit the fact that Akio was actually an asshole, and Shiori split off from Utena when Touga 'went away'. The finale is where they all start to fall back on each other.

She goes to the school and you find out later on. She is there because she cannot let go of Tongue, finds out that Anthy drove her brother into insanity, which he kills himself after he kills his sister. Then you find out the school is all an illuison.
