Where did I say Ireland have won a world cup? I'm not criticising, simply stating facts. Ireland have won as many real world cups as NZ, none. NZ have yet to win a real world cup despite going into every tournament (bar 2003) as favourites.

Absolutely...this was O'Driscoll, 22 years old, at his mesmeric best...he was the best player in the world at this time, and was for the next year or 2, and was arguably the only player of that time capable of breaking the Aussie defence of then in such a way. He might be 30 now, but I still believe he has enough in him to be a huge attacking threat in 2011.

Bowe is playing amazing Rugby granted,but more in attack than deffence. O'Driscoll on the other hand is still the better all round player as his defence is by far the best in the world and now coupled with the fact has regained his attacking power, i would still say BOD

Was livin in Australia when this series was on, O'Driscoll was phenomenal, lost count of the number of breaks he made throughout 3 tests. As the most successful side ever that Wallabies defence was watertight but O'Driscoll was the first player to destroy us repeatedly with sheer skill. That cut on Burke was off the scale
Vividly recall after O'Driscoll got man of the match the Aussie team & media focused on how to deal with him..so he was double teamed in Melbourne & targetted with late hits
