What most of you are probably too young to know, is that MTV originally wouldn't touch heavy metal. They started to play hair band videos first and then it wasn't until the late 80's early 90s that they brought in the Headbanger's ball and played real metal only then (at like 11pm). Also, originally MTV was only videos, this reality TV shit didn't exist. The MTV news was the only non video thing.
