Very well played. If only they could have been playing as relaxed in the first movement! Indeed well done to the pianist especially -- very difficult part, except for the rythm of her repeated notes near 3:10 and 3:20 which seem a bit uneven and pushing everyone out of balance.
Saw this performed live by members of the Australian Youth Orchestra. An astonishing performance. Apparently written by Smetana on the death of his 9 year old daughter. Truly passionate and moving music.
it's very hard to capture the true emotion and the real power of this piece... it's such a master piece with too much emotion that almost kills people...
There is also a piano sonata which has the same melodic material at the beginning of this movement. As far as I can tell, there is no recording of it in print, and it looks crushingly difficult.
wow. it was such an unexpected sound... but it was just sooo amazing. great job on the cello!! i have never experianced such a heart in a cellest durring the time they played. this music was not just notes, but was just fantastic. well done pianest! great skills and very moving. violin. amazing job! you add so much to the music. u send chills down my back as well as emotion to my heart. amazing job guys
no, i listen to many different styles of music, besides early music and baroque, but thats my favourite and i dont like the music in this video because the melodies are unattractive, ugly, simple as that ,

i searched whole youtube up&down for a good recording of this trio -this is the most serious, musically and beautiful played work i found (all three parts) BRAVO
I'm 18, I love to listen to this style of music while i drive, all my friends think I'm nuts. Who can't listen to this? It's got so much "movingness" to it. Just makes me want to close my eyes and drift away.
@beanner17 no you are wrong, i do not like Lady Gaga, and I do appreciate music, i love music, i am an advanced keyboard player and composer, dont fucking make judgments,
@witchcraftlord well no one knows about ur composing (probably is sh1t) and u THINK ur an advanced keyboard player. And how does this not impress u?? this pianist (in the trio) is probably way better than u. Dont make shitty comments unless ur better than this trio group
@witchcraftlord show off?? you really sound someone jealousy and frustrated that search for someone to acknowledge you. I think unless you post something here to prove that you are something you need to start to be more humble.
@sergestus88 fuck you, im not jealous or frustrated, you need to work on your spelling and dont worry about me , this video sucks because they are not playing baroque music
@witchcraftlord uuuh, "this video sucks cuz they're not playing baroque music" is baroque the only music you listen to, all other shelves of music suck?
Chamber music is the beautiful link between classical music and heavy metal. Sure not all heavy metal sounds like chamber music but not all classical music does either.
This piece is a joy of life! So noble and elegant and makes me think a supersonic Concord running so fast along the runnway at the airport and fly up into the sky!
When I first heard this music performed by David Oistrakh, I got goose bumps and cried with its beauty!
This is such a magnificent piece. You can hear the separateness of the piano, cello, and violin yet these ladies pull it all together with such vibrancy.

A beautiful performance of this piece. I wish more people would listen to Smetana, the great Czech composer.
