  • Music, acting and other aspects of culture are always far better when a nation is proud and building itself. When a nation's culture is being uprooted and/or it's claim to greatness is focused on showing how well it can tolerate being invaded and desecrated, rather than on establishing its independence and strength, then naturally the quality of its arts and expression will begin to diminish.

  • I'm sure you are tired of answering questions about the music but would you tell me the name of the song that starts at the beginning?

  • @RunningWithSkizors The music is an extract from a track titled 'Big Band Montage' played by Henry Mancini and his Orchestra. Unfortunately no other information is given. BAZ

  • The name of the song at the beginning is I'm Getting Sentimental Over You by Tommy Dorsey.

  • @RunningWithSkizors im getting sentimental over you by tommy dorsey

  • @RunningWithSkizors The first song is "Getting Sentimental Over You," played originally by Tommy Dorsey. I don't know who this trombonist is, but the tone is even sweeter than Dorsey's.

  • @Largo64 Thank you! Would you also happen to know the title of the song that begins about a minute into the video?

  • @RunningWithSkizors I've heard it, but can't identify it. Sorry. Great clarinet solo, though!

  • This sounds like the music at the start of 'cat on a hot tin roof' the mgm one with Liz Taylor and Paul Newman!!!

  • I don't find it a misrepresentation of feeling when i say ... I am in love with him. He epitomizes the sexy yet tender rebel. He had wits, looks, and character. What I wouldn't give to sail with him and have him hold me. I pray he's in heaven when I get there.

  • great

  • Bogie was one of a kind.

I came to appreciate his talent and acting range in 'In a Lonely Place' which is my favorite movie along with 'High Sierra'. Not just a tough guy. But a unique character.

  • mis respetos para este actor, mucha clase y estilo, creo que varios de los nuevos actores tienen que aprender lo que era un actor con porte, y no una niñita metrosexual como suelen aparecer en las movies actuales, hasta siempre Humprhey

  • I love this old wonderful black/white-movies. The 40s were the best decade of film-history. The best actors ever: Cary Grant, James Stewart, Katharine Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. Movies: Casablanca, The Philadelphia Story, It's a Wonderful Life, Arsenic and Old Lace, Notorious, The Maltese Falcon, Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, Bringing up Baby, Woman of the Year, Key Largo, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, All Through the Night, Angels with Dirty Faces, The Roaring Twenties

  • seibnfek=ld would ruin Casablanca

  • bogie is one of the best....but if they ever remade casablanca,,,jerry seinfeld could be rick.....jerry looks a little like bogie, there was some talk about bruce willis doing the remake back in the 80's.....

  • "EXCELLENT" is the only word fitting this tribute to the greatest of all time movie male actors.

  • What version of As Time Goes By plays at the end and where can I get it (album)?

  • This version is played my Henry Mancini and his Orchestra. I suggest you go to Amazon and check out the Mancini album track-listings there as I have only the single version..

  • Amazing actor!

  • the real Gentleman

  • I'm 55. 1st 'classic' movie I ever saw was on 16mm at the local library, a screening of 'Maltese Falcon' when I was 12 or so. Changed my life. That's when I realized that there was a whole world out there, with a past present and future of its own. And of course, my first intro to Bogie.

  • I'm going to watch of his films.

    He looks so cool.

Besides Casablanca, what other famous work he did, basilnelson?

  • Hi Natalie! Bogart appeared in many of the great Hollywood classics. Films such as 'High Sierra', 'the Maltese Falcon', 'the Big Sleep', 'Key Largo' and many others. If you 'Google' his name you should find his complete Filmography.

  • "Where were you last night?"

    "That's so long ago, I don't remember."

    "Will I see you tonight?"

"I never make plans that far ahead."

    so smooth.

  • Please, tell me, in what movie this dialogue has taken place? It is perfect!

  • it's from the one and only Casablanca :P

  • Bogie was great! I wish i knew what the opening music was; I love it!

  • The opening music is 'Big Band Montage' played by Henry Mancini and his Orchestra.

  • Bert Kaempfert seems to be very unknown artist, no shops have his CD's and i can only order best of CD which doesn't have this track...bah :/...would have been a perfect ballroom number for me.

  • It's okay, thank you kindly.

  • This is a very lovely tribute.

  • Humphrey Bogart is the most badass, coolest, and amazing actor of all time.

  • Humphrey Bogart is my favourite actor. He was...amazing. In every movie, he was always the hero, he always delivered the last line and was always on top of things he was just GREAT. Love Bogie

  • The best actor o all time!

In my heart in in hearts of many others.

  • goldern era of hollywood.

  • Bogart achieved class through his integrity and devotion to what he thought was right. He believed in being honest all on his own terms and this persona showed through in his performances on stage and in films.

He became famous for portrayals of tenderhearted heroes with tough exteriors.

Fondly, Hedda Baz, great Bogey music!

  • One of a kind

  • He was an incredibly talented, tremendous actor. While some describe him as less than handsome, I think he's one of the most handsome men I've ever seen. He makes men want to be him and women want him.

  • He Always Has A Ciggarette Or A Cigar in one hand

  • what brand did he smoke??

  • Chesterfild

  • Quelle gueule incroyable !! Quel charme ! Quel charisme ! Je crois que j'ai vu tous les films où il jouait ! Merci pour ces images

  • The best actor o all time...the elegance

il migliore di tutti i tempi bogart,l'eleganza

  • thanx great tribute for a great man!

  • My favorite actor! The anti-hero of my favorite flick. I'm not alone there, many, many folks feel the same. It would be anticlimatic to name it!

  • The King of the Tough Guys!

  • He is my Great Great Grandpa!!

  • he was such a great actor. I love him !

  • Thanks for this great tribute to Bogart!, a great actor and a very sexy man. I loved his acting. I really liked his voice. I was so disappointed when I heard he died.

  • I love Bogie... Excellent actor and probably one of the most handsome men I've ever observed. (L)

  • i love bogart....he had something special about him...

  • i already did, i love bogie, and i love lauren too. i think they were a perfect couple...

check out the clip i made about them in my channel...

  • Lauren Bacall not a legend??? are they kidding??? i'm 18... and i think, well, of course she's a legend, besides, she was married to bogie... and.... come on, the woman was beatiful, she was a great actress, she mae movies with great actors... she is a LEGEND!!!

  • I was recently looking at a thread on IMDB where users voted on whether classic actresses were legends. I was shocked to find the a couple of actresses I had never heard of and Lauren Bacall had been voted not legends! They're kidding!

  • I cant beleive that they would find Lauren Bacall

unqualified? to be a legend, these must be very

young people not over 22 years of age? or symply

ignorant to Film History and Stars of HollyWood.

    Bazaar?

  • Very bizarre. I think perhaps there was just a majority or ignorant people. Cos I'm only 16 and it is plain to see she's a legend.

  • An awesome, beautiful tribute to such a great legend!

  • Ingrid was to Humphrey Bogart` what Ginger Rogers

was to Fred Astair, THEY WERE A TEAM. Humpphrey had

a razor sharp tuff guy look` and it worked well

for him playing characters with dynamic range.

    Excellent Music also.

    Well done.

  • I think that Fred and Ginger were more of a team because they made more than one movie together and they were friends offscreen.

  • I agree Mithol! Fred and Ginger were like liquid

together not only on the dance floor, they were

    totally one together everywhere.

  • Kinda like Bogie and Bacall.

  • yes, exactly. Ingrid Bergman didn't know bogie, they just appeared together in Casablanca, but he was MARRIED to Lauren Bacall, they were a team, and they were really in love with each other...

  • I know. How cute. :-) You know, he cried at their wedding? Watch the Lauren Bacall interview with Scene by scene. She's great!

  • he did??! i love him......

  • Lol.

  • una gran leyenda del cine

  • We always have... Bogey!
