You just changed my life. I've had a MacBook Pro for almost a year and a half now and an iPad 1 for almost the same reason and was never aware that I could use my laptop to create a HotSpot and then run my iPad 1 with it. Thanks ever so much.

Great video helped me before ( in class friends can go on there iphones / touches when Im hooked with my mac ^^ :D ) Now my question is, is there a way to share a wifi connection where you are logged in ( like a provider hotspot ) to another wifi user??? I know not with sys pref. not with bluetooth but does any1 know a program wich makes this possible?

Here's the thing i've been watching lots of reviews on how to do it but i need a software like connectify for the mac where im logged onto a wifi network and can start sharing from that instead of using a ethernet cable.

Does anyone know an app that does it and works for Lion?

If you can getbethernet on your MacBook you should have wifi for your iPad. Plus it's not like that network travels outside your house.
