He's an extremely annoited musician. He comes from a family of incredible musicians, beginning with his father! It would be nice to get him playing with his brother on drums and cousin (Chris Black) on bass. They're all incredible!!!

I've known Butch Woodie since 1983 when he was a young teen of 14 or so. The boy was super then. Over the years he has become a B3Legend in Saint Louis (I lived there for 2 years) and throughout COGIC. Butch is simply one of the best organist on earth - listen to him!!! Yes - he is humble also. His dad plays and his brother Rob is gifted on the drums!! In fact, Rob emailed me the other day and said he will be recording more videos of Butch soon. I am excited about that!!

Butch has always been, how can I say this, simply amazing. Seriously, I have heard a plethora of cats and Butch is right up there. He has technique, speed, and his creative ingenuity is remarkable. The last time I heard Butch play live, the choir that he played for did him no justice.  He doesn't try to show off, but there are some musicians who just have what is known as "it". You can't teach "it" nor can you learn the "it" factor. You are just born with it. He is humble cat.
