Very cool show. Luv all the urban brick work. The half open window with the brick work outside is my fav. I was just planning a chalkboard painting myself (more architectural though) so it was interesting to see Wong's.
Thanks for this. Interesting show. I'm not familiar with the work of this artist. Always enjoy the critique and commentary of Carlo McCormick, one of the more insightful and entertainingly informative cultural critics. Always delighted when I pick up a magazine or an art book and see him listed as a contributer. Maybe you can get an interview?
Interesting one. The window in the background when you were talking to the two "geezers" was fasinating to me. I also liked the bricks. You show many artists that we won't get to see in the art magazines and some that is. A great mix.
Thanks James. Loved the small tondos at 0.45, 1.31. Also the "Twombly-inspired" blackboard paintings (Courtroom shocker...). Also the dialogue between the window and the frame at 2.50. The window is closed, but the frame is open...One of your best videos on an incredible artist. "The rustling of the wind in the grass..."
Thank you!

Superb job as usual James. The first painting is excellent. What do you think of the brick on brick work?

James, What technique/medium is Wong using on the chalkboard, sign-language pieces?
