Could someone possibly repost a better version of this clip? Really like this song and once had it on Cassette, but it got destroyed and I'd like to hear a better, smoother version of it here if possible,
Did Duffey and Lou Reid switch parts on the last chorus of the first song? Sounds like Duffey went to lead and Lou Reid went to tenor. Sounds cool, but I wonder why they did that.
Great vid. Thank You very much. I grew up on Tommy Hunter, laying on my grandpa's lap watching ever week. I used to get butterfly's watching bluegrass, especially The Seldom Scene. Cut to 20yrs later, and I'm a bluegra ( and stringed instrument) nut. Who knew? Thank you for the great memories.
I just want too thank Lou for posting these treasures and also thank Lou for carrying on with the Scene in Duffey's place. He cannot be replaced but you are doing one hell of a job Lou.Thanks for what you're doing.Scene fan for 30 years now!!!!
man I miss these guys. John duffy was a good friend of my father. When I was young we would go to all the concerts and hang out with the group. If you have any more of them please post.
Not showing much love for Ben Eldridge. One of the greatest banjoists was cut out of the screen most of the time. Great video and excellent footage of Lou Reid and John Duffey.

It's amazing we have to watch videos from Canada and the UK to see great music. American TV shame on you.

Lou Reid's singing is like tone crack. No one singer or instumentalist should have that much talent. It's just not natural. He's not of this planet.
