From my experience of meeting a Sociopath there are a few things in this video that are incorrect. They do have feelings. They can care about other people's health. They just can't pick up on other people's feelings all of the time because their is a blockage in their neural pathways. I live an apartment and have this neighbor who moved in several months agos who at first appeared to be somewhat the average person now appears to have some form of sociopath, asking and wanting money and more. When I say no, he gets aggressive and threatened me once. It has gotten to a point now that I had to get this to my family members attention and will press harass and even stalking charges if he continues. He refuses to accept the answer 'no.'
@922099 We have been looking and doing detective type of work of this person the past six days and it's still somewhat early to tell though gradually getting some pieces together. As for the money issue, it happens that I did give him some to help him and his girl who has a baby get of what they needed, food and gas. Big mistake. Now he looks at me if I'm the one who is the way out for him.

Though we hadn't had any contact for two weeks, I think he's still a menace because of his police record of about a dozen arrests. I tend to agree with Sam Harris though, that the moment you admit to any criteria science can answer moral questions. Sociopaths aren't necessarily bad, perhaps the values that are taken in by everyday citizens (sports, reality shows, starbucks, rules ect) are simply irrelevant to the individual. At the same time most citizens are programmed and disconnected from reality that you have to wear a mask just to get a job, relationship, or conduct simple business. Most citizens are mere robots/tools and deserve to be used for not thinking for themselves.

They just can't pick up on other people's feelings all of the time because their is a blockage in their neural pathways. I knew what a Sociopath was years ago but having met a harmless one I don't think they are all "evil". Yes, they are best avoided. Yes, there are many who are "morally insane" but the one I met was a harmless "moral imbecile" i.e. someone with the intelligence and language of an adult but the behaviour and emotions of a 5 year old. I live an apartment and have this neighbor who moved in several months agos who at first appeared to be somewhat the average person now appears to have some form of sociopath, asking and wanting money and more. When I say no, he gets aggressive and threatened me once. It has gotten to a point now that I had to get this to my family members attention and will press harass and even stalking charges if he continues. He refuses to accept the answer 'no.'

@922099 We have been looking and doing detective type of work of this person the past six days and it's still somewhat early to tell though gradually getting some pieces together. As for the money issue, it happens that I did give him some to help him and his girl who has a baby get of what they needed, food and gas. Big mistake. Though we hadn't had any contact for two weeks, I think he's still a menace because of his police record of about a dozen arrests. It is pathetic that he has a 10-month old child and does these things, shows little or no responsibility for that kid who'll grow up and become what he is. I feel sorry for the baby.

I know of a sociopath who enjoys helping people and doing what he can for charity. He knows the difference between right and wrong and decides to do right. Normal people can rationalize almost anything, they can profess undying love then divorce within a year, and feel just and righteous while persecuting the harmless, kiss their wives and hug their children then pilot unmanned drones to kill fathers and husbands while sipping coffee.

@john42t Right and Wrong are such nebulous terms that they can mean almost anything, and often mean whatever hormone dripping feelings the person espousing them has. I tend to agree with Sam Harris though, that the moment you admit to any criteria science can answer moral questions. There's a reason so many philosophers have emphasized a stoic detachment, if ethics aren't based on real world needs and consequences they aren't worth having.

They may not pay bills, pay child support or go to work if they do not wish. I refuse to plunge even deeper into debt to go to school in order to achieve goals. Oh and schools don't seem to be hurting in this recession, in fact their presidents are highly paid people. So I guess i'm the sociopath? Because I don't wanna make these people (the true sociopaths) even richer.

@Roguemember Okay you're (you are) I know, people get all weird on youtube grammar. A sociopath is someone without a conscience, they are everywhere as far as not having goals is more of a they dont feel things on the same way a "normal" person would. If they have goals its 100% to gain power. Which in alot of peoples cases runs along the same lines. But sociopaths have a very deludid way of thinking. I know one personally.

@TheAtomic1234321 Technically, their "goals" only include alleviating themselves of boredom.....Sociopaths HATE being bored...... but they don't have any longterm plans or goals.....that's why many of them live in a parasitic lifestyle or below poverty lines

More cliche's. Who doesn't hate being bored? I guess one is suppose to "love being bored"? Parasitic lifestyle? One can argue that those who make a lot of money or above the poverty line, are parasites (Wall Street). As they tend to transfer value from others to themselves and have artificially high salaries due to their hiring practices and how they limit the number of people entering their little racket.

Hell, teachers in California actually have to work without pay for a certain number of hours due to their State's financial crisis..........I'm interested what "degree" do you have anyway? Since in this day and age, the B.A. is the new high school diploma and it won't get you far

I meant colleges and universities. I have a BA in Chemistry. Sorry that I don't have goals of being super successful financially, I guess I must be a sociopath? And you guys act as if "poverty" is a choice. How close minded can you be? It's virtually impossible to have everybody have a middle class lifestyle, no matter how "hard" they want to work. In fact, one can make the argument that those in poverty probably work the hardest out of anybody.
