okay to put a few things straight: the curse that the monks put on Kanna was that she could never love someone, for if she did she would die. misuzu starts to hurt whenever she trys to make friends because she's a reincarnation of Kanna. she feels the pain of the arrows that killed Kanna as the part of the curse that will kill her. that's why she's in such pain when Yukito's around, it's because she loves him. anyway when Yukito sacrificed himself for Misuzu he broke the curse, but it still had

to run it's course through. so when Misuzu tried to start her life over with her aunt/mother, she ended up loving her. that's why she died. because the curse had to run through all the way, but it is broken so no more reincarnations. and yukito and misuzu are forever together in the sky. =)

The actual anime is better than the movie, and makes a lot more sense...

You need to watch it a couple of times to ACTUALLY get it, though...

Not really... I think he got super confused as to WHO was the girl he was supposed to help out, and realized too late that it was Mizuzu... and then he fell in love with her, and turned into a crow, to try to reverse what will happen to her... but failed... =D

All he really did was turn into a ... crow... and going back in time; and witnessing her demise...

Not very happy-happy.

He did, however stay by her side after she was "abandoned" by her Aunt- who went to meet Misuzu's father.

He was also her first friend; and helped her socialise a bit more... which ironically made her more and more ill.

He made her suffer more than cure her in any way.

She didn't die alone.

The anime doesn't actually make ANY sense, at all... and the whole "forever cursed" thing doesn't make much sense, either... -.-' Especially because the curse doesn't actually seem to have anything to do with how the angel (I forgot her name..), died.

That's not true. Kanna died, 'cuz she hugged her mother. When they freed her mother, she even said: "My body is cursed, I "inherited" the sins of the people who died in wars..." and monks cursed her for years. So when Kanna touched her mother, she "automatically" took over her mothers sins. That's the reason her soul will die before she can grow up. That's the curse. Her reincarnations will inherit the curse. Ur either too young to understand stories like this or u simply dont get complex things

Besides all of that, what were the other girls in the story supposed to represent? None of them really semt like they had a "connection" to the plot involving Misuzu, besides living in the same village as her. Unless, they are supposed to represent / be the reincarnation of something else that I completely did not understand.

Also, the fact that the guy turned into a crow... did that make much "sense" to anything?

Seems completely irrelevant, especially since it didn't actually help out at..

all. Just made him a lesser character in the entire plot.. looking at everyone from the view of a crow. :S

Besides, aren't crows supposed to represent bad omens, which could symbolise that he is foreshadowing Misuzu's death?

We didn't even get to know how it would be possible to break the curse...

Well... the other girls were descendants of the people who got in touch with Kanna's, or her mother's, WINGS. (Or other cursed winged ppl.) Thats the reason they got a part of the curse, which Yukito succesfully healed, by stanindg beside them, and helping them mentally, etc. That's what he was suppossed to do at Misuzu's case, but he mostly ignored her. He only started supporting her when he saw that something wasn't right with the girl.

The reason Yukito turned into a crow was that he wished, they could start over again, from the beginning. So the whole story cut back, when Misuzu met Yukito, but now the true Yukito was a crow. +He got a part of Misuzu's curse too, by touching a feather ("Kanon episode") and by getting close to Misuzu. The two kids at the end... nobody knows who they were, but probably a reincanation of them.

The girl starts to suffer a little before her 14th birthday, because that's the time Kanna died. Kanna's reancarnation can't get close to ppl, because she didn't have any friends at all, so they get to experience the same lonely life, Kanna had, with no friends.+the curse... monks cursed her, etc... (Oh... and sorry 4 my bad english...:S) I hope my explanations are understandable... Btw: I'm 17 too...xD

But... I don't get why Kanna's reincarnations need to die, because they get close to people? :S

And how come at the very end, there was that little guy who was holding a little girls hand... Didn't that indicate that she was the new reincarnation? And thus, she shouldn't be able to get close to people? Yet, she seems pretty close to the guy.

This guy's right, unless something completely different is going on in these scenes than what it looks like. The song's about a guy being GLAD someone (an ex most likely) is out of their life. Closest I saw was that this girl was sick and/or dying? Not the same thing as the song at all.
