Of course, some good maybe even great defenders don't have great stats, but usually if you're that good a defender the stats will come to you because of your excellent def. Ex: Ron Artest, Shawn Marion, Scottie Pippen, Dwight Howard. Sure Chris Andersen isn't the best 1-on-1 post defender, but shot-blocking is very important part of defense and he beats D12 at that.

When the Nuggets acquired Chris Anderson for the second time, I was a big doubter - I thought he lacked discipline, that he didn't care about winning, and that he was just a showoff. I didn't think he'd bring much to the table.

He proved me wrong. He's a monsterous defender who's always in the right place at the right time, a good rebounder, he takes high % shots, and best of all, he plays with fire.

I'm glad we have him here in Denver, he's a real deal baller.
