Fritz Wunderlich, Joseph Schmidt, Rudolf Schock und Richard Tauber, sind alle und jeder für sich brilliante Sänger. Schade dass Schmidt und Wunderlich auf so tragische Weise und so jung sterben mussten. Wenn ich von J. Schmidt höre "Es wird im Leben dir mehr genommen als gegeben" läuft es mir als Deutschem eiskalt den Rücken runter, was man ihm angetan hat. Man hat ihm mehr genommen als gegeben!

Sadly, Wunderlich's "Dein ist mein ganzes herz: is nowhere to be found on YouTube; could you remedy this? It's wonderful to have this, though; thanks for posting it. Wunderlich just destroys me with the purity and beauty of his sound, and the exquisite taste and sensitivity with which he uses it. A lesson for all aspiring tenors.

Problem fixed. Please search my videos (TurandotFanatic), I'm posting it right now (hope it doesn't return any error). Actually I prepared two audio files with Wunderlich singing this aria, to the same video. One is the studio record (just perfect) and the other he sings a different text (I don't know why) and finishes the aria with a high C# (totally amazing). I hope you enjoy.

@billyguns2 Personally, i find that "Von Apfelblüten einen Kranz" is way more beautiful than "Dein ist mein ganzes Herz". At first, I only knew the latter, but now that I have heard *this*.... wow... especially when sung by Fritz... it is amazing, isn't it?

You´re right, and that despite the rather poor quality of the recording. For me personally, my actual state of mind decides which tune of him I like the most. When I listen to his voice I hear pure sensitivity and the only thing i feel is love, regardless of what he´s singing. If you listen to his versions of "Der Zarewitsch", "Ännchen von Tharau" or many other songs. your simply overwhlmed by emotions...
