Yeah the look from the tech was priceless. I like the comment from MrJtr1888 that it sounds like it would eat your entire family. I run the scorpion tips on mine and yes it would eat your family!
Then its just you and your bike;)
Its kind of like owning Stephen Kings 58 Plymouth Furry (Christine). The bike actually owns you...your just along for the ride.
No rings or cap on the supertrapp? I am not sure how motorcycles use them, like if they use the rings and cap or not. I run 6 rings on each one on my Camaro with the cap. But like I said, dunno how the car ones compare to the motorcycle ones. Sounds pretty decent though on your bike with such a small engine compared to my V8.
Custom made stainless steel header pipes with a Supertrapp 5 inch muffler.. The stuff blowing out is some fibreglass which was wrapped around the dyno sniffer probe tube to avoid scratching the alloy end cap
HONDA VTX 1800F. it drives way better than the V rod i drove one. mine has pipes and ecu and goes real fast. over 70 is speeding, and it wont do 200 and i like NOT being a prisoner. watch my hot sexy bike video and listen to it thump. IMHO
i cant decide...a m109, a triumph rocket III, or a vrod. I'm used to sport bikes. I've owned 3 ducatis since I was 16 but I'm in the Marines and need a more comfortable but powerful ride for a ride back home....which one do you recommend?
It's hard to say mate. I haven't ridden a V-Rod or a Rocket III but personally I like the looks of the M109 better. V-rods have a very small fuel tank but they ride pretty awesome I'm told. Try test riding all of them and see what's best to you.. good luck!
thanks man...i've been looking at all three closely. just here they wont let you test ride them. And actually the vrod has a bigger tank than most bikes, the gas tank is under the seat and the thing where the tank is supposed to be is a air filter cover. Main concern I have with the suzuki though is the plastic chrome in places. But I do prefer the looks of the m109 better than the other two. ill keep going with my ducati monster until i make my decision. :)
I've owned a cbr 600, gixxer 750, R1, and now have an m109. I've had lots of problems with mine but aside from that it's got enough power to keep you happy and handles and rides like a bike comfortable sport bike. Vrods are too small and uncomfortable if you ask me. not worth the extra 8 grand either. i've driven a few. I'm 6 foot and about 220. When it isn't in the shop i do enjoy it.
I have an m109r and the suspension is a bit rough, also the seat made of compressed something and makes you feel strange feeling when riding for long times, kinda like a sport bike. I had a sport bike before and I think I know what you mean :)
@Rezaroth I actually bought a triumph rocket 3. I test rode all three bikes. I didn't like the seating position of the m109r. I'm not exactly tall, I'm 5'7" and it just felt like my legs were spread too far apart. It also rode a bit stiff like you said. The vrod was awesome and I really liked it, it handled great and its not too wide but the deciding factor between it and the triumph was power. The triumph also was the most comfortable to ride; the vrod vibrated alot. I'm happy with the purchase
@LedZeppelin13k7 109r all the way. i wanted that one but ended up with the m90. only difference for me is the motor size and the price but same comfortable ride.
You're retarded! A dyno tune is to get the correct AFR throughout the rev range in all the throttle positions which in turn results HP gains. These figures are consistent to all other M109's with similar mods around the world. but you should know all that being an "expert"
I'm a dyno tech. any dyno operator can show up to a 10 hp variation depending on the settings. that's why when you go to bike week, you go up with 95 hp, and come down with 114 having only bought their "special" airfilters etc.. getting hung up on horsepower is retarted.
the other thing your missing is that. a bike like the b king makes its peak hp at somewhere around 9,000 rpm which is what inline 4's do where a v twin starts making peak power sometimes as low as 3,500 rpm so they can be compared they are completely different animals.
Sorry Fonz, you're comparing a Vtwin which revs to 7500 RPM to an Inline 4 which revs to 11000 rpm. Bigger displacement generally gives more torque but the lower RPM Kills any chance of comparable horepower.
130 hp on a 1800 cc engine ? and the Bking comes with 175 hp on a 1400 cc ? I would have thought with the bigger displacement the m109 would be able to push over the 200 hp mark
On the dyno the B king produces 158 stock. It has a chain drive which makes it easier for the horsepower to make it to the rear wheels. HP comes from a calculation of torque. Since there are 4 cylinders with shorter stroke, the B King will make its power at higher RPM. The VZR only has two cylinders and a way longer stroke. The VZR makes a lot more torque than a B King all day long. Oh and a B King is 1340 cc not 1400. If you want 200 HP buy a VMAX.
Don't worry dude... This is my machine and it now had a 10 inch rear wheel with a 300 Metz. Had it at the drags a couple of times, Rev crap out of it and dump the clutch and it launches harder than my Busa without wheelstanding... much.. heheI think I'm abusing it fasr more than the wheel shudder on the dyno. Pulled 11.6 on the 1/4 but it does weigh 350kg's.
@manny0k 11.6, quite respectable. I've only been able to get 12.4 although we're at pretty high altitude in Idaho. I agree, they're not abusing that thing, it's just hitting the rev limiter. Nice bike.
Yeah and I'm sure your boyfriends has a 9 inch cock too??? Tell him he's dreaming on both counts. What's his 1/4 mile times?? What's wrong with you people.. There's always someone better, faster, bigger, richer.. who gives a shit... get a fist up ya!
Hey Guys, glad to hear you are tuning. I hope later on you got alot more power. I can see the whole time the baffling material is getting blown out. Your guy may be good but he isn't great, have him use an o2 sensor for each cylinder...otherwise you won't maximize your HP or torque. Your pipe is nice but a little too long for max HP. Mine is putting outbetween 133 and 137 when it's 85 degrees and 78 % humidity. Also mine peaks almost immeadiately on tq. that makes all the dif when racing.
G'day Windy, He's located in Sydney Australia. Rob and his partner, Carl, have worked on more 109's than any Suzuki dealer in Australia because of their superb work and care taken. We are lucky to have them! Cheers.

My m109r coughs and sputters right up to 3000 revs, any clue?
