Gary Johnson should run for Libertarian Nomination. He is polling higher than Jon Huntsman and Newt Gingrich and he is tied with Herman Cain. They allow Huntsman, Gingrich and Cain into the debates and they exclude Johnson. You would think The GOP would want a Popular Former 2 Term Governor from a Battleground State in their Presidential Debates. Shame on The GOP. The GOP is not a Big Tent Party. Go Gary Johnson for Libertarian Nomination.

@fionel.. His is Johnson's only run. He's not going to run again in 2016. Paul supporters talked him into running and he's chosen to run now and he chose it when we all thought Paul wasn't going to run again. Paul should have just passed the torch to Johnson instead of being talked into running his 3rd time after Johnson already announced.

Gary Johnson is a Chief Executive. Gary Johnson has always been a Chief Executive. When he was Chief Executive of New Mexico his State government performed efficiently, effectively and with peerless success. That's documented and really beyond challenge. Insofar as President Obama will clearly be in serious trouble with the economy, our practice of capitalism and jobs by this time next year we need to be equally serious about an electable candidate to replace him. Gary Johnson stands alone.

Johnson joined the 2012 race prior to Ron Paul and Paul should have passed the ideological torch on to someone with actual executive experience. They're are both staunch defenders of liberty however if we truly wish to succeed everyone needs to play to their strengths, and I fear Ron Paul may not be cut out as an executive. Time will only tell though and either candidate would be a vast improvement over the last two presidents.

If you vote for Ron Paul then you support his philosophy and you make a statement about where this nation should be headed. The more such votes the stronger that message. All else being equal this Utopian (wouldn't it be nice) ideal would seem to be a good thing. But all else is never equal, there is no such Utopia and Congressman Paul has demonstrated repeatedly that he will not campaign to actually win the Presidency...but only to urge his ideology and to build support for his views.

Congressman Paul has established himself in the role of ideological purist regarding his philosophy of American society, the US economy and our practice of government. He is a culture warrior who works as a politician. The entire point of his stubborn philosophical purity is that he represents an ideal we might note on the horizon as a reference point to inform our mundane daily efforts through continuous improvement, but we will never really get there. This is a Priest not a President.

Do you want to know what is hurting the cause of liberty - it's thinking that we only need to back one person. As much as I love Johnson, he really needs to throw his support in for Ron Paul. If he takes any votes away from Paul it's a loss for the cause of liberty.

@TheSchillzters I like Johnson....but I think his time will come in 2016. Ron Paul has the momentum. Whether he wins or loses won't change that Johnson will only be a stronger candidate next time he runs, because most of the Ron Paul support would back him without Ron Paul in the race.
