Everyone always gets this wrong, so I'm just gonna say it. His guitar is a Martin 00-17 most likely from the 40's or 50's. Martin made the 00-17 14 fret models from 1933-1960, and are now discontinued......There great sounding guitars.

Awesome I met him last year... That was so intense! He is a true idol. And probably the most friendly, modest guy ever. My sister couldn't come with me to the Alexisonfire concert, and he'd let me record him while giving her birthday wishes. The best 5 minutes of my life.

Neil didn't break the genre barrier quite as wide open as Dallas has with City and Colour. His ability to take simple songwriting and realize how to get his songs to the point that they're great, rather than just "Releasable" like most artists seem to do (Example: Matthew Good) has "Legend in the making" written all over it...provided he doesn't burn himself out.
