@glencro Joni also turned down a role on a sitcom. The sisters were dedicated to their music and had given themselves until the end of the decade to come up with a hit record. They were just about to call it quits when Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards came into their lives and crafted for them one of the finest albums of all time. It was fate.

God I love this song. Sister Sledge had such beautiful harmonies and such clean delivery of their material. If only more disco artists had taken their cue from acts like this....I've always wished one of the brilliant DJ/Sound Artists like Delattre Dmitri would do a remastering/mashup of this.
