Hello people I have the same noise in my mini Cooper s 2005 can anyone tell me what the problem is and what needs to be changed to make that clicking sound go away.thankyou
@1234Anton1234 its very easy to fix the part is about $80 from the dealer. i just searched on mini2 and northamericanmini for how to replace Timing Chain Tensioner and they had step to step guide. It took about 20 mins to do.
hello, can you please help me, i've posted a video and it sounds similar! can you let me know? did the car drive alright higher up the revs? say over 4k? if not i have a feeling my SC might be dead :( although the car drives fine!

thanks everyone for the help it was the timing chain tensioner, it was really easy to change after removing the passenger wheel well cover. Its right near the oil filter using 19mm bolt just replaced it.
i recently changed the tensioner, but the noise persist, but not as loud or as often as the ruckus before. any suggestions?
