Heir, why don't you make a checklist for yourself and routinely check through all vital movements in game? You could perhaps check settlement happiness + tax on every winter, check all agent activity each turn by clicking on your agent tab, then your ships, then your currently recruiting armies. Oh and please make sure to assign an art to be mastered right when you see it. You just complained that you were researching a random art, but then in the same video I see you forgetting to assign it.

Hey, Heir, just so you know, the Tokugawa didn't become shogun because they conquered Japan, it was actually the Oda Clan that took over most of Japan, however, they had a little crisis which allowed Tokugawa Ieyasu to take control, and later conquer the rest of Japan.

Heir, you should recruit a firebomb thrower or two. They are absolutely devastating when defending the castle walls. They throw the "ninja bombs" and can completely destroy units bunched at the bottom of the walls attempting to climb.

@SirWilliamMonocle i agree fire bomb throwers can annihilate in defenses, plus on the open battles put them in front of your infantry and they can get a shot off at charging infantry which just kills their numbers/morale. I've even seen them rout full strength ashigaru units before they even reach them!!

@browniemaan101 I'd have to disagree. They are utterly worthless in all respects except for defending walls. On the field, they either get owned by archers or kill your own men. Attacking a castle, they get owned by archers or cause no casualties what so ever due to the fortifications. They are just about the most worthless unit in the game.

@ForceRecon569 The upkeep is like 1000 koku per turn for that ship. He can't afford it right now. Plus it would wipe out half of his navy in the battle.

@OmfgItsNannerpants That's true, but the chances of him taking the ship with the navy he has now are next to nothing and he would have to leave his shores open to attack when he sails off to find it. Its not worth it for him right now. If you don't believe me, watch my Black Ship video, my navy was at least as large as his and got utterly decimated. He would need Siegetower Bunes to capture it and if he had siegetower bunes, he wouldn't need the Black Ship. The cons outweigh the pros here.

@SirWilliamMonocle I didn't say it was worth it lol. Also, unless you're bad at naval battles you can't lose vs. the black ship with what he's got. People underestimate bow koboyas so much. Heir could easily sacrifice 2 edium bunes and set the black ship ablaze with a single concentrated volley fromm his bow koboya. Then sail in circles around it for a bit and voila. I've captured and sunk it plenty of times. It's not hard at all.
